If you are not in a hurry, there is also a nice free anchorage in Moaña just vis a vis Vigo. Ferry will take you across to Vigo. Further south, going up the Guadiana river to Alcoutim at the border between Algarve and Spain is definitely worth a visit. Have fun!

Hey thanks for sharing. Enjoying your vids as am planning the same journey leaving from Laredo Spain. I'm trying to figure out timing and wondering what sailing this coast is like in winter. I seem to recall from one of your videos that you were doing it in autumn/winter, what months was this? How was the weather. looks amazing on the vids.

The Portuguese coast is tough going so pick your weather as you go. You'll be marina hopping but they are cheap. September October was pretty nice, lots of bad weather with windows in between

@@SailingYachtZora Thanks for the replay. Yes that is what I expected, not many anchorages along the coast, though think the longest section without a spot to nip into was the 50nm from Vila Nova to Sagres.

@@SailingYachtZora But if you do make contgact, you CAN know them. You will probably be sailing along the same tracks for awhile. You can't have too many friends at sea!

So I finally bit the bullet and became a patreon. When I clicked on the link it said site not found. Then is saw your patreon link was cutting out the last 3 letters of your boats name (ora). Easy fix. Looks like you are having the time of your lives! I am not jealous at all. :( . I use to watch the Sailing Frenchman until he got into yacht racing. Good to see he is chasing his dream.
