Sailor Hocoro dip pen fine nib | Unboxing and testing random ink samples from Goulet Pens

Hello, friends!
In this video, I unbox my new Sailor hocoro dip pen and try out a random set of ink samples that I got from Goulet Pens in a recent(ish) order. I had a lot of fun trying out new ink brands and colours that I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards. I even discovered a new ink that I would have never expected to love as much as I did!
Have you tried the hocoro dip pen? I’d love to hear your experience in how this compares to other dip pens and what you thought of the inks I sampled as well.

Very interesting show. Do you use blotting paper to dry the ink?

Thank you! Yes, I typically do keep a blotting paper around for each of my notebooks because some inks take a bit longer to set!

I find the Deatramentis Document inks a little flat too. I have the Dark Blue and Dark Red but they do dry fairly light.

Ah, good to know about the other colours drying lighter. I've enjoyed experimenting with the brown colours as I'd be interested in using them for sketching. 😊
