Thank you for this video! I am struggling with deciding what to log/track in 2025 after losing some weight in 2024 and wanting to focus on things other than the number on the scale. This is such a great bouncing off point for my own journal/planner. I really appreciate you taking the time to share it all.

Fun fact: from your right middle finger tip to the base of your left arm on your shoulder (arms stretched to the side) is 1 meter. The length of your underarm is the same as four foot. And with arms stretched out from middle finger tip to middle finger tip is the same as your height. 😊

Looks like you had an amazing time in Kurashiki! Your customizations turned out great and I especially love the passport. Surprised the camel is not velvety.. I've only seen ones that are. It is still very pretty. What an amazing gift and memorable stay. For the mug, I've never tried to put it in the dishwasher and I probably wouldn't want to for fear of the imprint wearing out quicker.

I have a B6 sterling ink common planner and I track similarly. I track my mood, sleep, and energy in a graph, because those I can quantify either in hours or rating out of 10, then in my "habit tracker" I track things that may affect my food: whether I have time by myself and with people I care about, whether I work out, whether I have caffeine or alcohol, and whether I'm sick or on my period. In the notes section below the tracker I note what sickness stuff I'm experiencing. I also use it as a way to answer questions when I am in therapy! On the weekly pages I track habit habits, like taking meds or flossing, things I'm trying to do daily. It doesn't matter if I see trends over the month for those

I don't like the bump that the elastic knot creates on the back of my TNs (it bothers me when I'm writing), so i drilled a small hole in the spines of my TNs and moved the elastic to that. I'm left with a tiny hole in the back but that doesn't bother me. Maybe a solution to your knot being in the way in your passport size? You'd have to lengthen the elastic to reach further around, though...!

I have moved the knot from the back of my TNs to the middle of the spine. It leaves a very small hole on the back, but at least now I can still write without having to remove the notebook to a flat surface. Also, has anyone figured out the name of that brass plate protector?
@LittleCocoStudio

Ah, that's a good idea to move it to the spine! I haven't had the courage to make any modifications to my TNs, yet, but I've thought about doing that and maybe trying to re-string the TN so I can fit more inserts in comfortably. As for the brass protector, is this the item you're wondering about? nap-dog.com/products/brass-tag

I rewatched this video this morning and was reminded that I want to do food planning in 2025. Since retiring I don’t plan meals, I decide day by day, however I like that you incorporate grocery lists..which grocery stores, the day/nite eating take out, where we got it from, what we had, was it good, adding recipes.! I have 1 Hobo Weeks that I do the weather daily and events or what I did that day. And Mood. My 2nd Hobo Weeks I use as my financials. In Notes I have Bills listed along with their passwords to pay online, on weekly pages I track Money coming in, bills to pay, bills pd and I keep monthly a log similar to our old check registers. Also in notes, Thats where I note any houshold plans, such as Staining the deck, need to clean out gutters, update appliances etc.

@LittleCocoStudio

Thank you so much!! So, we wrapped up our order before noon (so roughly 2 hours after they opened) and they asked us to pick them up by 5pm the next business day. They initially said it could be possible to get it done on the same day, but they seemed relieved when I mentioned we were staying for a few nights, so we weren't in a rush. I don't mind sharing the pricepoint - I think it's a fair question! I checked the receipt and assuming I added things up correctly, the standard tn came out to 23210 yen (~150 USD) and the passport tn came out to 16500 yen (~106 USD). I hope that helps!

That is so exciting that you'll be visiting soon! 🤩 I think it is possible to have it done on the same day if you are able to arrive as close to their opening time as possible. I would think it also depends on how many customizations you want to do. When we arrived, I asked if it would be possible to customize a standard and passport. They said it was possible, but as soon as they found out we were going to be there a few nights, they asked if we could pick ours up the next day instead. I hope that helps!

I love your more thoughtful approach, it's very nice and an approach I wish I could adopt as I most likely have ADHD lol myself and I've got some impulse control problems as you do, especially with hobbies. My Pilot Fermo (part of the Vanishing Point/Capless series) is my all time favorite pen. I bought it earlier this year at the end of spring as an early birthday gift. I got it from Japan, so I thought it was going to take much longer to arrive than it did, but I have no regrets in buying it. I'm thinking of getting a decimo as well since the Fermo has a twist instead of a click mechanism and a click would be more convenient for me, I think. I bought my Fermo in a fine, but I think I want to try an extra fine or a medium next time and have plans to buy a stub nib unit for my Fermo as I have never tried a stub before. My collection looks so chaotic in comparison to yours lol. I definitely was out of control for a good while before I calmed down (mostly because I just started hyper focusing on another hobby) and I have over 20 pens, five of which I never use anymore. I really need to start using some of my other pens again, but I've got a few I'm not a fan of the nibs on anymore so I'm not sure what to do there yet as you can't buy replacement nibs for them, so I either have to just get a whole new pen, find someone to grod the nib for me, or do it myself (which is very nerve wracking!!)

Another great video! Thanks for sharing. I have been doing something similar to what you're currently doing for since March and our layouts look very similar! I love the skin tracker idea! I also deal with a flare up and such from eczema and that would be hella useful! I've also came to the same conclusion about having food next to a symptoms tracker. I can't unpair them now! It just makes sense. I too like to see data in a daily, weekly, monthly and potentially yearly view too but I have that anxiety of like, do I need the same data over and over again but you make very valid points. I recently added a tracker basically identical to Danny's for my habits and anxiety/depression ratings and I loooooooove it! I think you will too! The weeks is just the perfect health planner overall. I have meal tracking pages in my A5 Journey Planner for next year but I still have a weeks because of how functional it is for that purpose. 😍 I can't wait to see more of what you do with yours! 😊

I think for an annual graph I'd use excel (or similar free version). I understand this is a paper journal channel but this is what computers are good at.

I’ve been mulling over it this week, and I’ve come to a similar conclusion about what I’m describing being better suited for excel. At the same time, using excel suddenly feels too close to work, and while that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I like the idea of containing it all in my Weeks. So… I’m currently re-evaluating what and why I want to track in the notes pages. Basically, I’m overthinking everything. 🙃

@LittleCocoStudio relatable on all fronts. My day job is as an analytical chemist so graphing data is a substantial portion of my job. For the most part I've purposefully quit tracking personal information because I find it to be problematic for my mental space. But I do understand that sometimes we need information and I agree with you that giving one's doctor the information they are going to ask for is very helpful. Best of luck on the overthinking 💕

@@KatiesCraftStudio Thank you! Oh gosh, if that’s what you’re doing at your day job, then I can understand why you’d want a break from it in your personal life! I could never stay consistent with tracking personal information in the past becuase it always started to feel too much like work. I often worked on data dashboard / data visualization projects at work, which is probably influencing many of my decisions right now. It has been helpful, but it has also brought up a lot of work memories. I’m interested to see how consistent I am with tracking this information after the initial excitement of trying a new layout wears off. I’m also looking forward to hearing my doctor’s perspective on what’s worth tracking for future treatment / symptom management perspective.

There's also another similarly sized case from TSL, which opens up whole and lays flat. It has space for pens on the inside (no outside storage). Unfortunately, the pen area does not consist of individual slots, so your pens might be touching when stored there.

I think I know the one you’re referencing. It’s kind of thin and looks like a wallet when zipped up? It’s very nice looking! I was wondering about that one. The interior leather looks a bit stiffer - I wonder if that might help prevent the pens from touching each other if they’re clipped onto it.
@arcajour-i2r
@arcajour-i2r 6 күн бұрын
@@LittleCocoStudio Yes, it's called the leather zip pen case. The leather is a little stiff, indeed, but I'm not sure the pens are safe from rubbing. One solution might be to place each pen in a felt sleeve before inserting in the case.

im very interested to see when you do figure out the monthly/yearly overview on these things. I would really love a book like this next year, but im not great at keeping up with filling it in, so it has to be easy enough to be consistent with. because not filling in the things every day makes it harder to understand the info because its not the complete picture if that makes sense.

Thank you! I'm excited to try out a few layouts to see what will tell me the information I need at a glance, and (hopefully) be easy enough to fill out and be consistent with. I agree that having incomplete data makes it harder to actually see the bigger picture. I worry that having so many things to track will overwhelm me, so we'll see how things go in the next few weeks. At the very least, I can always fall back on my existing layout, which I know works well for me.

I have a system where if I know I did the habit or had the symptom I tick it of, if I skip tracking for that particular day or am unsure if I did it ,I'll put a dot and if I didn't do it I put a hyphen. I wouldn't stress about if you have missing days and such. It's a habit that you need to build up. It comes with time. I'm usually shit with maintaining trackers but I've been doing this kinda system since March, and whilst I'll sometimes take a week or two off, I always end up back in it because it's just such a norm now. I rather have some info on my health even if it isn't 100% accurate than zero. 😊
