Sailor Moon - Goodbye, My Lover (AMV by Kasandora)

In my opinion, thee BEST Sailor Moon/Tuxedo Mask AMV out there. I've also seen plenty that use this song as well, but none of them are edited together as well as this version right here. I uploaded this as an archive, the original uploader's account has since been terminated and it was a real hassle hunting down an original copy to put back up on youtube. Comments: Hey, all! This is my first Usagi/Mamoru video (or Serena/Darien, Sailor Moon/Tuxedo Mazk, Serenity/Endymion - they've got so many names!) and it's to James Blunt's "Goodbye, My Lover."
Anyway, Usagi and Mamoru happen to be one of my favorite anime couples, so I thought it was about time I did a video dedicated solely to them. They're just so cute together and so romantic, too. This song is actually really bittersweet, but it works really well with them, considering how many times poor Usagi and Mamoru have to say "goodbye" to each other throughout the course of the series (how many times do both of them die, anyway?)
I really liked how this video came out; I made sure to use good quality footage, as that's kind of hard to come by with Sailor Moon videos, and, as always, no subtitles. It worked out really well and turned out to be one of my sweetest videos I've made, even if it is a little bit sad (though my saddest video would still have to go to my FFX Tidus and Yuna video to "I Will Love You" by Fisher). I'm really glad I've made a complete Sailor Moon video and especially a romantic on dedicated to Usagi and Mamoru.

Like I said, kind of sad and bittersweet, but Usagi and Mamoru's relationship is pretty heartbreaking at times. What I liked about the song was that although the singer is saying "Goodbye," it's not really resentful and, like with Usagi and Mamoru, even though they've had to say goodbye to each other quite a few times, they've stil beenl "the one" for each other. Not to mention some of the lyrics work really well with them - I mean how much more accurate can you get than "I'll be the father of your child" as Mamoru IS the father of Usagi's child, right? Lol!
Anyway, like I said, it's really very sweet and sad and one of my faves I've done, so I hope you all enjoy!

I'm old and don't know much about Sailor Moon but I watched this with my granddaughter and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely and touching a combination of Sailor Moon and James Blunt can be. Then again that's the impact of animation sometimes ,,, anybody else ever teared up when Dumbo visited his mother in jail? Thanks,

I've looked everywhere for this version, everytime I see it I start bawlig my eyes out, I know I'm nowhere near having seen all the episodes so I don't know the whole story behind Serena/Darien and Sailor Moon/Tuxedo Mask, but I do know from the episodes I did see they were perfect for each other, I always was happiest when they were together.

Isn't this sweet? I'm a retired cartoonist and I love to see animation used to such affect. It's sentimental as hell, of course, but whoever said sentiment was a bad thing? I'm looking for another AMV from Kasandora, made for Maison Ikkoku with Auld Lang Syne as music. According to animemusicvideos org it premiered in 2005. I saw it on the early days of youtube, but it has since been deleted, and I can't find it anywhere. If anyone has a clue about where to find it - or can share the actual video - I'd appreciate it. I have a strong emotional bond to the video, and have been trying to find it for a long time now.
