This series must've felt mythical back in the day. Imagine sitting through infomercials and various our stuff and THIS pops up on your television.

It depends on where they showed it. Where I lived they showed it in a block of morning cartoons.

Wow 🤩 the nostalgia 🥰 now all we have is reality TV. 📺 I miss these commercials that’s what made TV great back then, I no longer watch TV except for Sailor Moon

9:48 "News 4 Texas at 9:00" promo. This debuted with the switch from CBS to Fox in July 1995; KTVT Channel 11 picked up CBS. Back then, KDFW called itself "Fox 4 Texas" to be in line with the "News 4 Texas" name.

I didn't find it, someone on eBay listed these tapes on eBay and I figured they were worth archiving.

I didn't watch Sailor Moon its its first syndicated run, but I caught it on the USA Network as part of the USA Action Extreme Team block in 1997, the Toonami block of Cartoon Network, and in syndicated on my TV markets where this series aired was KABB-TV Fox 29 and KRRT-TV WB 35 in San Antonio, Texas in mid 1998-fall 1999.

It’s hilarious how this video keeps promising “Sailor Moon will be right back” and it never does.
@ThomasFan1945ProductionsTM11 ай бұрын
It does, I just trimmed the recording down so I don't get copyrighted by this episode. That's why you don't see much of any episode footage besides the opening and ending.

assuming they had another cartoon airing in this slot kids flocked to before, tuning in this specific morning to cartoons and seeing…sailor moon (unheard of to like 90% of the US at this point) must of been a fun adventure. wonder how many of these kids are in anime fandoms now.

Nice! A syndication airing

This is the premiere broadcast in 1995, so I'm not sure if this should be considered a syndication airing.
@gameshowguy20008 ай бұрын
ALWAYS aired in syndication.

Actually, KDFI-27 is the sister station of KDFW-FOX 4.
@ThomasFan1945ProductionsTM11 ай бұрын
You're right about that, but that's the station ID name that is used in the airings.
