I love that Sailor Mars's back bow is purple instead of red and Venus's is blue instead of yellow on the back. I wonder how that passed quality control.

Have you tried looking on any of the Japanese resell sites? I use Mandarake a lot and I was just looking on their site. I saw them have quite a few of these plush for around $9 each. The prices list in yen but you can easily find out the dollar amount using google.

hello, I really need help recently bought 10 plushies off of ebay and i´ve been reading the comments to see how to spot a fake plushie, ¿is there a posibility that the bootlegs have a higher quality these days? because the plushies I bought have everything right, the tags have the toei golden icon, the back bows are there, the tag is pluged to the plushie with a plastic hook instead of a silver chain like the fake ones, but, somehow i think mine are fake, i´ve seen pictures on internet and mine look slightly different, besides the seller i bought these from is from Japan but the shipping tag of the box they came in, is from france that is bugging me right now i hope you can tell me something on how to correctly know if they´re fake or not. I´ll send you a couple of pics later

I recently purchased 5 of these from EBay. Two have arrived with the legs all messed up. I notified EBAY, they were quite sympathetic and said they had problems with these sellers. I was issued a full refund for the first and they said if the other 3 do not match the photo then they will fully refund the remaining as well and penalize the company in question.

Sorry to hear that. You do have to look out when buying these from anyone outside of Japan, there are tons of bootlegs out there. Best way to make sure you have an official one is to see if your plush have the Toei stickers on their tags.

blackdiamond The bootleg versions of the plushies have metal beaded swing chains attached to them for hanging where as the official ones have plastic hooks. Some of the bootleg ones do not come with paper tags either and have small front bows sometimes. Also the back bows of each plush are missing from the bootleg versions.
