Great video as always I feel your pain darn mark on the locket why it's new out of the box!! I haven't got this set but I want it so thank you for the link!! It's funny I want the pen more then the locket, but that's because I have a lot of the locket in different sizes I only have a keychain that looks like the Luna Pen. I personally don't think hairs needed to be split about the pen needing to have its own sound card instead of working in conjunction with the brooch. In order to get all of the sounds the set DOES have, the pen would have had to be bigger to accommodate a sound card. It's already bigger than other pens released because of the battery inside. I think the IR integration was a way to find a workable middle of the road solution. Also... the pen is a real pen. Twist the front like you would a normal pen of similar design and a point will appear. It writes in black ink.

Oh yes, I know it's a real pen. Thanks for the insight of the tech involved. I was just speaking from the anime perspective, so I don't consider that splitting hairs in terms of accuracy in a Prop replica.

"if I would design it" I think the pen might be a bit too small for a decent speaker and PCB (electronics and soundchip), or not, but it would cost more to make the pen and the brooch both have basically the same electronics+speaker inside.

LOL. It's $190 CAD to buy both this set and the Chibi Moon locket, or $200 CAD for me to buy just this set from .CA. Canadians can't have nice things. UGH SCREW YOU AMAZON.
