As always, good review Sailor Tortilla. I love how even though your a fan of SM, you still keep it real about the items your reviewing. I have yet to get any of the new merchandise. I tend to usually go for the dolls or figures so I think I'll pass on this. I was originally gonna get Pluto (my favorite outer) but I changed my mind. I think I'm gonna wait for her super form to be released, along with all the other senshi. I know Moon's super form is already out but I was wondering if they'd do a version of the figure with her season 4 adjustments to the outfit. Btw are you still gonna do the Q&A you spoke about a few videos ago?

I forgot how you access it but apparently the Proplica Holy Grail can also play the music that plays during the episode where Usagi gets the grail. I'm glad I'm not the only one who was underwhelmed by the sound effects and I personally love S the best. I don't own this but I saw other unboxing videos and I was like "That's it?" I also wonder why they're calling it the Rainbow Moon Chalice. It reminds me of how the old Cloverway dub of S called it the Purity Chalice.

I agree with you...too expensive for just those sounds and also low sounds. I do love it otherwise but yeah too much money. And another thing I agree on, S season is my least favorite one too. I just do not like that season, my least favorite of them all. But thats bc I do not like Mistress 9 and the whole Hotaru being the bad arc! And too much focus on Neptune and Uranus, not such big fan of them being focused on.

I'm sorry you're disappointed Aije! I can totally understand though. Wands are definitely much more tactile and "fun" props to play with. I'm personally happy with the Chalice, but the Holy Grail is something I've always wanted in my Sailor Moon collection and the 90s version is really ugly IMO, plus it was always really REALLY expensive. But yeah - I can totally get how it's an underwhelming toy item to have. There's not much that the grail really *does*. It's pretty to look at, but at the end of the day, it feels more like a shelf piece and less of something you can swing around and actually enjoy. And I totally feel the merch overload - there's just too much. I've pretty much only relegated myself to Proplica items and S.H. Figuarts figurines for that reason. My wallet and sanity couldn't take it otherwise.

You probably already figured it out by now, but there's two other sounds! Both are activated when you do a long press on the moon button on each mode. One mode plays the exact same noise the original Rainbow Moon Chalice toy made and it loops continuously until you end it yourself (like the original toy), and on the other mode it plays the music/sound effects from the scene in episode 125 when Sailor Moon gives the chalice to Mistress 9! Also I'm pretty sure the crystal inside of it is meant to be removable because of how easy they made it to be taken out. The crystal was a toy invention because it was never shown to actually have one inside it in the anime or manga, so I think they included it as a throwback to the original toy (like they did with the original sound effects)... and just to have something to put in it. So you could remove it if wanted it to look like there was just light coming out of it like in the anime. I wasn't too excited when I received mine for some reason. It's pretty much exactly what you'd expect, I guess. It is beautiful. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to all of this new merchandise already and I've seen the Rainbow Moon Chalice about 1,000 times and know what it's about. I only have two minor criticisms: I don't like that you have to press the button (and activate it) in order to open it. I don't like the big red tab thing sticking out in the front either. I think it would have been better if they used the same kind of closing mechanism they used on the Crystal Star as it's more subtitle and you could open it without pressing the button to unlock the lid. It doesn't have a red tab sticking out in the anime either, so it would've been more accurate that way. You have to have it opened completely, or else you have that dumb tab in your way as you're watching the lights. And my other nitpick, and I've seen a lot of Japanese fans talking about this, is that it's kind of... really yellow? I suppose it's "accurate" to the anime, but it's not as classy-looking as the gold used on the other Proplicas, and they're just as yellow in the anime. And the red they used doesn't match the "red" on the Spiral Heart Moon Rod or the Cosmic Heart Proplica. It would've been nicer if they used the same general color on all three so they would match better, as they are a set. I mean, they even used the same box design as the Spiral Heart Moon Rod. In the anime the red on the chalice is more of a cherry/pinkish red like the red in Sailor Moon's bows, rather than the blood red they used on the Proplica. It's not just about consistency purposes, but overall I think it would've looked prettier than the darkish red they used. It makes it look dull in my opinion. Mine, and a few others I've seen have a defect where there's a relatively large gap between the cup part of the chalice and the rim where the gems and moon button are, and when you have the lights playing you can obviously see it coming through. I thought that was kind of cheap... But at least this one doesn't have any noticeable damage like all my other Proplicas, such as paint chips and black finger smudges permanently embedded into the paint. : / By the way! Premium Bandai is having a survey that ends soon. They're asking what everyone would prefer to see more of like dolls, mirror cases, etc. and they're also talking about reprinting the 90's toys: p-bandai.jp/enquete/1000003460_outline/ Just google translate the page!

And don't understand the changes with the yellow (considering they could have just released a Miracle Romance version instead). That red tab sticking out is bothering me now that you mentioned it and I wish there was a volume control because compared to the other Proplicas the volume is kind of low.

I’m gonna be completely honest, season 3 is not one of my favourites that’s for sure. Do I see and understand why people love it? Of course! All sailor moon is good sailor moon, but I will say it’s one of my least favourite seasons. I think lots of you will cringe but my favourite season is SS (the 4th season) I don’t know why but growing up when my sister would introduce me to sailor moon, that season just truly stuck. R (2nd season) is also one of my favourites! Great review sunshine, i absolutely adore your channel:)

Generally speaking I don't like toys I can't swing around. That's why I don't collect dolls and wasn't crazy about the Crystal Star Proplica either. The extra two sounds were notified to me after I finished filming and even then, I think this is just a noisy toy. No real value outside of "oh it's shiny" for the price.

I really am not impressed by the holy grail, not my favorite proplica item. And I thought about something right now. Did you take off the batteries from the other proplicas? Because, you know, batteries explode very often inside electronics. I lost a Wii remote that way, the frickin battery explode inside of it.
