None of the other sailor guardians got to say goodbye to the people they we’re in love with or cared about So Usagi did the same “I can’t kiss you” was such a powerful and important line in this scene It wouldn’t be fair for Usagi to kiss and say goodbye to someone she cared about when the other scouts didn’t have that opportunity This will forever be my favorite scene!!

I love watching your process. Even if you don't explain things, I learn a lot! Sailormoon was one of my early anime favorites too. I studied Japanese because of it and learned that their names (the Japanese ones) were connected to their powers and Sailor identities. Mamoru is technically Sailor Earth because his name translates to "protect" (Mamoru) and "Earth" (Chiba).

@@imawonder Haha yeah. I watched a locally translated version and they kept the Japanese names. When I got my hands on a guide with the names written, it makes much more sense with the Kanji and when it's read in how Japanese names are typically written (last name, first name). Now it's probably a well known fact, but back then resources were pretty hard to get lol.

This might be one of my favourite videos of yours so far...I too, value Sailor Moon deeply I rewatched the whole series 3 years ago at age 15 and it completely changed me as a person I was in a really dark place with nobody I could lean on, no trust in my family, no friends, depression, suicidal thoughts. And this show gave me so much power and motivation and my goal became to be a good and thankful person. I am feeling a lot better these days; thanks to my now lovely best friend who loves sailor moon just as much as I do and the most wonderful boyfriend I could ever wish for ^_^ I think my favourite Sailor Scout must be Rei..! I think I could identify quite well with her hot temper, and I thought her relationship with Usagi was really special...even though they did fight a lot; they loved each other :) I haven't watched Sailor Moon Crystal yet, the animation style kind of threw me off...but I might give it a try tonight ^^ Have a nice day lovely viewers and lovely Tina!♡ If you are going through something back...Keep your heads up, the sailor scouts got your back. My favorite was Ami growing up because I was and wanted to be the super academically talented but super shy girl. Now that I’m older, my favorite is Usagi! Now that I’m more comfortable with myself and my true personality, I identify a lot more with Usagi. I am a total soft and naive crybaby. My friends cannot believe how naive and trusting of people I am at my age. They get worried for me because I get hurt so easily. My friends have told me that I’ve really helped them come out of their shells and is the reason that they’re even friends with each other. I still can’t accept that solely being my doing but I am super touched that they feel that way. I think those qualities make me much more of an Usagi now. I was sooo excited about Sailor Moon Crystal because I was soooo ready for the darkness of the manga being translated into anime, but it was such a let down because the quality of the animation became soooo awful so fast. Then when they put more effort into the animation, they also changed the style of the animation. The style is fine and looks great but I was extremely disappointed that it strayed further and further away from the manga style. I wanted unrealistically long leggy Sailor Senshi! According to the manga, Tuxedo Mask really is protector of earth along with his gem dude squad (Kunzite, Zoisite, Nephrite, I forgot the other’s name). That’s where he gets his powers from.

Why does it look like art is just an easy thing for you to do? Like there's no pressure at all! Ugh as a fellow artist I'm jealous of you.. I always have art blocks and my progress is really slow while making art. I always pressure myself, thinking that everything should be perfect and detailed..

I definitely face challenges when I create artwork all the time. The thing about most art KZbin videos is that it's typically hours of work that's been sped up, edited and reduced to a fraction of the time that it actually took. Thus making it look effortless. But the reality is that usually it's not. I purposely didn't film the sketching portion of this because I knew I was going to have a really hard time drawing profiles. I know that seeing others work can feel discouraging. And it's easier said than done but try not to compare yourself to others and keep in mind that what is being presented to you on social media is only the highlights of someones hard work and dedication. Try to have fun with it and remember why you make art in the first place!

It's just sometimes we forgot that making art is something that makes us happy and experience fun, and just not doing it for other people's complements and opinions. As an artist, loving your art and having fun while making it is the best feeling there is. I get 2nd hand embarrassment really easy, so watching SM Crystal was a real refresher for me and I watched all of it, but then I was SUPER bummed out when they announced the Dream saga with Chibi-Usa and Pegasus was being made into a movie instead of continuing in another season because that was one of my favorite arcs. I love Sailor Venus for the Inner Scouts. She's who first got me into drawing in the first place, especially that episode where the animation studio was making a Sailor V movie. I remember watching that and being all like "I want to draw like that". For outer Senshi, I relate to Saturn the most. Her being so sickly all the time, and dealing with prejudices and bullying from classmates as a result really struck home to me because I was (and still am) going through a lot of that. Yet she turned out to be SUCH a right power house. The 90's anime didn't really do her powers justice and I was always disappointed. There's a REASON Uranus and the other two Outers were scared of Saturn. As for Crystal, you should definitely give it another shot. I grew up on the manga and it really does follow the initial plot better. And next year we'll be getting new Crystal movies based on the SuperS manga plot line which is WAY different than the 90's anime, which cut a lot of stuff out and dragged on and on. I know it can be really hard to take off the nostalgia goggles, but I find viewing the Crystal anime as its own entity really helps, this coming from a long time Moonie as well btw. I love how your screencap redraw turned out, it has a soft feel to it and I love it :) Keep it up!

Ahh, Sailor Moon😊! My first anime - there were others in my country, but we didn't have a cable tv and/or I didn't know they were anime even if I loved them too (like Mysterious Golden Cities). After SM was showed in a national tv the anime/manga craze started with a full power and a lot of mangas were published - I am still a proud owner of a whole run of the SM (and Sailor V), translated by a Japanese guy who married "our" girl so rather good (if with some funny mistakes here and there😉). I loved all these extras, like a mini-mini poster and Naoko Takeuchi's cute and hilarious afterword in each book. And the style of the book had more impact on my art than anime, I think🤔... Manga is sometimes completely different from the series, and sometimes things go along. Although Chibiusa was annoying in both🤣... My favorite was Makoto, most relatable and similiar in looks for me, but I always wanted to have Setsuna's hairstyle and haircolour😉. They left original names, didn't censor most of the episodes - with a notable exception of not showing S1's finale, I saw it years later...👩🏻‍🚀

It makes sense that they had to change it for the anime because her style is so unique that would probably be difficult to animate LOL, yea I agree with you on Chibiusa, she look cute but I found her annoying too xD Oooh yes Setsuna's hair is so gorgeous! And the Season 1 finale is so intense and epic, glad you got to watch it eventually!

I like all the sailor scouts but the one I relate to most is Sailor Mercury\Amy\Ami. My reasons are pretty much the same as imawonders was only difference is I am still shy. Sailor Moon was also the first anime I ever watched. As for the Sailor Moon Crystal series all I have to say is its different and that I dont like that the none of the villains' were saved. Also the theory about Tuxedo mask\Mamoru\Darien being the sailor scout of Earth is actually true. In fact he is the only male sailor scout. There are the Starlights but they change into girls when they fight. And for those who dont know who the Starlights are they are from the final season of Sailor Moon. The final season is called Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. Its in this season that its shows that Tuxedo mask\Mamoru\Darien is the sailor scout of earth.. There are some people who choose not to watch the last season or didn't know about it which is probably why some people ask where the sailor scout of Earth is.
