It reminds me of the game they released back in the 90's for SNES. I loved watching this series every day when it first came out. My friends and I used to write fanfiction for it, and draw Sailor Moon-themed comics. Ah, good times.

I'm a guy and I've seen every Sailor Moon episode, and there are many emotional moments in the series but the season that got to me the most was the 1st season. I remember watching this show and I thought its so funny and cool. (SPOILERS) Then when Nephrite died in Naru's arms I cried like a baby for a good 5 minutes. He was coming around seeing the light and good then BAM!! he's gone. Then the season continued on and everything was good until the last episode where everybody dies. I could not stop crying. It destroyed me to watch these young girls that I knew well get killed in horrible ways. But then Usagi won, everybody got reincarnated and there was Season 2. But dang, this show is definitely in my top 10 anime, probably top 3

My friend is on the the third volume of the newer version of the manga (her first time experiencing the series I might add) and she ships serenity and Endymion but not usagi and Mamo because of that one part where she wakes up in his room, my friend said and I quote, “this is how rapes happen kids!”

Fun Fact: I never watched this anime but I learned how to play this song on the piano (okay, it isn’t that hard even for me, who sucks at playing the piano) and to sing this song in Japanese because it is so catchy and the (Japanese) lyrics are actually GOOD.

There was an original and the was a remake called Sailor Moon Crystal. The original is much better.

The original anime and Crystal are both great. But Crystal is more accurate in terms of story, since a lot of the original switched things around. An example, the manga has Sailor Neptune and Uranus (both female) as a couple, but the original anime they made them cousins. So for me I like the original for nostalgia, and Crystal for keeping true to the story.

As I remember, one translation made Uranus and Neptune cousins, but the current one being sold translates them as a couple. I have the VIZ S and SuperS DVD.
