Hello Everyone and Everywhere! I actually had this on the backlog of trailers to do, the ballot just gave me an excuse to do it sooner. These two magical girls may look bubbly and airheaded, but all the hardship and tragedy they've faced molded them into potent warriors, and eventually led them to ascend to an unimaginable level of power. It's Usagi Tsukino VS Madoka Kaname (Sailor Moon VS Madoka Magica)!

They'll likely have Jocelyn do the transformation instead, as canonically only girls can become magical girls. For Sailor Moon canon, this means only biological girls can be elligible to be the reincarnation of fallen Sailor Senshi. Meaning transgenders, and guys are not applicable. Also, Sailor Senshi are canonically able to age up to age 20, and their bodies end up locked at age 20, to ensure their powers remain at a constant peak, and for their growth/evolution in powers.

Given what I know, in a 1-1, Sailor Moon is taking this win easily. She's tougher than Goku, and she has ridiculously high survivability to put her on par with Superman. She can shatter an entity of pure chaos and scatter it to all life to prevent it from coming back as an enemy, and she has a number of defensive strategies to her advantage, PLUS instant-kill attacks. Usagi isn't athletic, but Madoka looks so frail that any of Sailor Moon's canonfodder monsters of the week could obliterate her with a sneeze. Sailor Moon tanked a galaxy-busting event from ground zero, and came bark with just a few rips in her clothes. Madoka's magical girl brand can be killed way more easily. This fight is going to Sailor Moon. Period! There is no other way this goes.

@RAPTOR948 Aight, so huge spoiler for the main anim3 and some of the supplementary material. After Madoka's wish on the last episode, she completely reformed the multiversal (stated to be made of infinite universes) from destroying the concept of witches in every universe, past and future. Essentially becoming omnipresent

@@aipomandmimikyuIn the Light Novel she falls into an infinite 12D Tetrahedron which is made of infinite kaleidoscopes, infinite dimensions,sizes,shapes,etc. Since it's a laberynth she automatically scales above this. this is pretty unfair tbh

I’d be down for this matchup to happen. Either this or Madoka vs Reimu is a fight I want to see happen for Madoka Kaname. I may have already said this but I hate Madoka vs Nanashi, it’s a matchup I can’t stand for the life of me. Tho it doesn’t compare to my hatred towards some other matchups like Tails vs Luigi rematch and Diddy Kong.

If I'm kind of hoping for more of sailor Moon vs PreCure happy I think they're similar and honestly better connections but I see why people would want this match up because of how vastly different the magical girl is

@@phoenixwright2420 Okay, but what can Madoka do? What does she do that allows for a different and unique fight dynamic compared to Moon? The most I’ve heard when discussing the dynamic for this matchup is that Madoka can create arrows. Impressive but Moon, from what I’ve heard has a massive variety of powers. So what does Madoka have that can separate this from something like BillCord or BeerAxia

@@MinecraftWorld1954it’s kinda the tone more than anything, like Beerus laxia is two gods of destruction who can be quite egotistical.BillCord are two really random beings, Who know when to get serious. These are two magical girls. And their interactions could be somber,Due to Madoka magicas tone, but also very light hearted and funny! I think the match could start with the happy, fun bit of Madoka as it slowly spirals into the madness of the series. Their FIGHT dynamic would be different to something like BillCord aswell, as it’s not as random as that,more Transformations and other abilities than stuff like switching animation styles and using food etc.

What I do know is that canonically between the two, Madoka traded away her powers to keep the endless cycle of magical girls and witches from continuing. Basically a contract to de-power her reality. So she pissed away her powers. Where as Sailor Moon kept her powers, and this is because the future was already decided. And the world came to a utopic society where people were now immortal. Measuring powers, survivability, etc. Madoka's type of magical girls can die quite easily. Injury to death is common, about as common as death is under a communist regime! BOOM! there's my obligated zinger on communist dictators! By comparison, Sailor Moon has tanked galaxy-wiping devastation events that were on the par of having nukes the size of planets going off right under her! And this was ONE attack from Sailor Saturn NOT directed at her! In the 90's anime, Sailor Moon went with Sailor Saturn to take down Pharaoh 90, and Sailor Saturn wiped him out with a galaxy-wiping devastation event that reset it to step 1 of creation and evolution! And Sailor Moon came back more exhausted than hurt, and she barely had a scratch on her! Let's also note that we get a very slow progression for Madoka, she is playing keep up with other magical girls, and lags behind so painfully. Meanwhile, Sailor Moon gets HUGE power jumps when needed! Last I checked, Madoka can suffocate in deep space. Meanwhile, all of the Sailor Senshi are proven to canonically be able to survive in deep space as far as the moon itself without the need of a space suit. Able to handle that kind of vacuum pressure, it's abundantly clear that Sailor Moon has much higher defensive, offensive, and generally more capable of surviving. She could easily purge Madoka of her magical powers too! And yes, Sailor Moon can take power away by curing it if it is sinister enough. "Moon Healing Escalation" is powerful, and removes dark influence. Madoka's magic comes from a dark origin, as the familiar is a dark and sinister demonic entity, it looks cute and innocent, but it's fed on by the conflict between magical girls, and the witches the survivors become. Basically, if you become a magical girl in Madoka's reality, and you live to adulthood, you're becoming a witch. And the cycle of violence NEVER ends. The deaths feed the demon! In Sailor Moon's realities, the magical powers come from different sources. For the Sailor guardians, their power hails from their planets and their crystals. Sailor Moon has the Silver Crystal, which is an artifact of the moon which has INFINITE MANA. If you remember the infinite mana cheat code in some RPGs, consider Sailor Moon has the infinite mana code unlocked at the start. The crystal evolves to become more powerful, and empower Sailor Moon further, like a symbiotic relationship that makes the two lifeforms more prone to survive. Since it's based on celestial bodies, and life energy, Sailor Moon has the lighter side of the magical spectrum. She's able to remove dark influence. In the end, Sailor Moon will try to save Madoka, but if Madoka keeps making the same bad decisions over and over, she'll end it, and put Madoka out of her misery PERMANENTLY. I forgot what that rabbit-cat looking demon from Madoka is, but I know it's look is deceptive of it's malefic power. From what I know, it lacks combat capabilities of it's own. Luna from Sailor Moon however has been in her fair share of scrapes, and has found ways to survive, and she gets rescued when she is in the worst of it. Honestly, the final result would be a tossup between save or destroy. Gul'dan would have been a more fair match for Madoka, though Gul'dan would have killed her outright, as well as her friends. His fel magic wouldn't be worth a damn against Sailor Moon's crystal and it's INFINITE MAGICAL POWER.

@@RAPTOR948 You seem to know a lot about both series, but I feel as if matchups can be good if it’s a stomp or not. Debatibility is great, but as long as it’s fun or thematic, I’m fine. Take something like super friends aquaman VS SpongeBob!

@@phoenixwright2420 I gotta mention... Sailor Moon's powers are celestial-based. Where as Madoka's are demonic-based. That's a spoiler for Madoka Magica though as far as I can remember. Madoka gets an encounter with a cute looking critter that makes a contract with her, and she becomes a magical girl. The magical critter though is actually a demon that feeds on the conflicts and deaths between Magical girls and witches. Witches being the magical girls who survived to adulthood. So the violence NEVER ends.Basically, despite how optimistic Madoka may seem in her material, her powers are dark in origin. Sailor Moon's powers come from her past life being the princess of the moon, and the silver crystal. As a result. her powers are more light or based in righteousness, as the Sailor Guardians even after 1000 years remain as magical girls, their aging stopping at 20. Also, Sailor Moon is able to purge dark influence from people, removing dark powers like how in the 90's anime there were rainbow crystals that made the silver crystal, and those who held them in their souls could turn into powerful monsters. Those cured of the dark influence recovered like it was just a horrible nightmare. I'm fairly certain Madoka has canonically died at least once and came back, and the magical girls of Madoka Magica can die in pretty common ways. By comparison, Sailor Moon is described canonically as invincible, and cannot be defeated. Also she can survive being in deep space, like as far as the moon for example where the moon is basically without atmosphere, and is just a ball of dead rock floating in space around Earth in what can be considered distant orbit. The moon is basically in the vacuum of deep space. No air to breathe. Also, in the 90's anime, Sailor Saturn wiped out an entire galaxy to kill pharaoh 90! And Sailor Moon came back with just a few rips in her clothes, and feeling exhausted. She STILL had the stamina to defeat Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune in a 2V1, AND Sailor Moon was holding the infant that is Tomoe Hotaru, AKA Sailor Saturn. So by comparison, Sailor Moon tanked a devastation event that was like nukes the size of planets going off in every direction! If we're going just to the death, Sailor Moon has this by a long shot! Madoka isn't getting anywhere. If it's to a draw, the closest we can count on is Sailor Moon obliterates the demonic little rat that gave Madoka her powers, and cures her of her dark powers. This given the magical girls from Madoka have their powers from a malefic being that keeps the cycle of violence going, and the magical girls who survive to adulthood become witches, thus ensuring witches remain as a constant threat to magical girls, it's clear Madoka's powers are malefic in nature, despite how heroic she may believe herself to be, Madoka I think did come to realize late in the series near the end that the powers the magical girls in her reality gained would turn them into witches upon reaching adulthood, a dark twist.

I'm calling this battle's conclusion now! Sailor Moon with the win! She can tank a galaxy-wiping devastation event from ground zero, and hardly take a scratch! She's leagues beyond the durability and survivability of the likes of Goku, and she has magical power enough to insta-kill Superman! No way in hell is Madoka gonna deal even a scratch! And even if she does, her brain is getting melted inside of her skull with supersonic crying!
