Sailor Yurameku Amamoyoi!

I really like all of the Yurameku inks that I've used. This one is from the first set of these inks, and they're modeled on the colors of the sky. they're also big color-changing inks that will look different based on the nib you use, the paper you put it on, and your mood! Okay, maybe not that last one. It is a fabulously weird ink that is brown, pink, green, and who knows what else! I don't know how to say the name of this one! I probably got it wrong a lot!

I just noticed that you're clocking in at just under 10k subscribers, Mike. I've been a regular viewer of your channel for some years now and I had just assumed you had 100k subs. What the heck? i only found your channel the other day, ive dived head first into researching pens and inks especially (i have my first ever fountain pen on the way ^^) and i've really liked your channel, you seem so friendly and happy to talk about pens and inks, i love it! also, your pronunciation is close! ah-mah-mo-yo-ee would be how i'd write it down. the yoi part can be slurred together a little, but the mo and yo are separate instead of becoming "moy". also for yurameku, the "me" part is more of a "meh" than a "mee" ^^

I've love to see a comparison with Vinta Sirena, which as a similar green-pink combo. I think Sirena is absolutely gorgeous but you need the right combo of pen & paper to show it off, and it's not *quite* as legible as I'd like. It's dark enough to be usable... just not a little below my preference.

Kind of reminds me of Dominant Industry Autumn Forest, only the pink-y color is coming from the ink itself rather than shimmer.

Hi Mike! Some pronunciation help: the “me” in “Yurameku” is the same as the “me” in “met”!

Really interesting ink color, like most by Sailor. Unfortunately I've found I can't use their inks because they have a smell that tends to give me a headache.

That is the one draw back of these inks. It's the smell of biocide and it means stuff isn't going to grow in there, but it does have a particular smell.

Yeah it's a bit of a shame, because some of those new color changing inks they came out with look really neat. ☹️ I suspect I'm just more sensitive to smells than most because anything strongly scented (perfumes, cologne, etc.) tends to bother me. It's still not as bad as some Noodler's inks I tried in the past which just flat-out smelled like gasoline

I get it. You might want to stay away from KWZ, too. They have a vanilla smell that some folks don't care for. I like it, but opinions vary.

Strangely enough, vanilla doesn't usually bother me. But thank you for the heads up!
