I've used pool noodles without the PVC for years. I found that if i cut the noodle in a shallow spiral down the length, the lifeline stays inside the noodle, instead of working its way out.

I think I am going to slightly modify the design so that this cushion is integrated into the top of our next fabric lifeline cockpit dodger screens with Pfiefertech pockets on the insides.

So quick question on how you are able to keep the thread from bunching on the hook and loop. The adhesive on the hook and loop seems to cause bunching and issues with my needle.

When sewing hook and loop do not purchase the adhesive hook and loop, but rather just use the seamstick basting tape for canvas to baste then sew the hook and loop in place. Does that help answer your question?

If you look at Velcro, they have stick on Velcro product lines and they have sew on Velcro lines. The sew on Velcro has no glue on it, and the stick on has heavy duty glue, unlike the basting tape used in the video. You can just use clips to hold on the Velcro too. Basting tape isn't needed here.
