i had no idea the buying and selling commodities section could be so fruitful. I opened that trade book plenty of times, made no attempt to understand it and went on with my day

I recall the dev saying, when the new economy update came out, that commodities trading was meant to be the primary source of income. Whereas missions was the primary source of reputation.

i would suggest going with the largest lateen you can. you'll get better overall speed. the gaff is quite limited as to how much angle you can give it.

In practice, I found the angle limitations of the gaff to be quite manageable. But I had considered getting that odd shaped tall one.

@@SimGamerTV i always loved the lateen because of its versatility. a gaff and lateen can get some nice speeds. :)

@@TheStanislavson as far as what a gaff and lateen ARE, they are real world sailing terms. you would do well to learn what they mean. a simple search online can explain it better than i can. if i remember correctly, you can have both depending on what ship you have. i haven't used them all so my knowledge is limited.

Did you know you don't have to Tie Off in the shipyard? Just park the ship there. I do that because I'm not too fond of it when the game crosses my mooring lines.

It disconnects your mooring lines when you exit the shipyard anyway, so yeah, not much point in mooring in the shipyard.

In order to produce forward thrust, there needs to be some reward deflection of the wind.

Not really, but I generally try to make sure there are at least two new videos coming out each week. Lately, I've been able to do more, but I'll need to slow down for a while in a couple weeks.
