Currently, this is my favorite St. Etienne song. The video is a great match. If the band had been in it, it would not have had the same effect and feeling it evokes. Good call on their part. Love it!

@riceuteneuer26787 жыл бұрын

September is all go And traffic is so slow I love you, don't you know? But memories of holding hands Get crowded by all of our plans Not hearing what you say The highlights of your day Rose petals blown away Pictures drawn in the sand Washed over by all of our plans Just another call to make I'll stay in town till late Just one more time My magpie eyes Set on the prize Guess I was blind Now all I want to do Is spend more time with you And where did those months go? When you let your hair grow The girlfriend I'll never know Fall in love with scrawl on your hand Some Herbert who plays in a band Just another call to make I'll stay in town till late Just one more time My magpie eyes Set on the prize Guess I was blind Now all I want to do Is spend more time with you

Have to agree. That album is front and back masterfully polished. Last Days of Disco is killer

Saint Etienne on their quest to be down with the kids in the ghetto again. Failure as ever, but as usual, their message that the ordinary is beautiful succeeds.

Hm, unfortunately I am not so enthusiastic about this new song. And the video is too British, sorry. I would have liked to see the band at least for a few seconds. I will probably buy the new album anyway, but I am not that thrilled anymore.

"Too British" - does these mean we should have filmed it in Queens or the Bronx. The whole St Etienne schtik is their quintessential Britishness rather than a bunch of clowns leaping around making bizarre gang related hand gestures in pursuit of some reflected "street" credibility
