It was counter conditioning. Allowing Saint to get comfortable with the low the entire time and trying to win all the while. This ensures the opponent will stay predictable due to their own "success." The key here is trying to win even though they are landing with a pre set damage you've allowed them to have. If you're not able to secure the win by the end, then you can simply remove the advantage you've given them and claim the victory when it matters most and denying the opponent time to counter with a follow up strategy. This is largely why JDCR is my favorite. I love and relate to his mental prowess. Respect ✊🏿💯🙏🏿

JDCR fans always and always blame character, it's not a pro mind. If you still angry, Just talk to JDCR play geese, but he can't why?? Cause he is not good at other characters
@user-zu8tw9nk7x
@user-zu8tw9nk7x 2 жыл бұрын
I saw geese many times, and i can't understant logic of this character. For example, characters like king is slow, and deal some damage, but why geese deal alot of damege per combo, and he is fast, and have such alot of punches, one mistake and you got full combo -65% HP? I just don't understand this) imo, geese no need to nerf or something, but there alot characters in tekken which probably need a some very small buff. Like micro buff)

i wish in a game where you have about 80 moves...and i know most are just combo tools and oki tools,but even then if saint gan play using df1,df2,df3 alone and get close to killing jdcr i just think thtas stupid and if the movement in the game was bigger you could just backdash out of his low spam but you cant...this gamepley of forcing a coin flip 20 times per round is not saints fault..its the developers fault for making movement smaller than it should be

Ganryu most boring character to watch any pro using him should be ashamed of himself... low kicks jab low kicks jab low kicks jab... you can literally carry yourself to god rank using 2 moves.. i really hope Tekken 8 doesnt have stuff like Leroy and Gan.. thank god they fixed Leory just fix Ganryu now please Harada. Tekken is supposed to be the purest fighting game :( Lol right after finishing this comment Rickstah says the same thing as me (12:20) "Saint has just devolved his game to just 2 moves" He says it again after Game 2 (13:40) i mean seriously...another example of OP ganryu at 21:33 .. Stop and think about that, and now argue with me about how this character is fair and i just need to get good. Yes, obviously he CAN be beaten and is beaten, but the work required to be competitive is night and day here.. This is the highest level of competition in what is supposed to be the most technical fighting game in the world, but pros are actually contending with the worlds best using 2-3 moves only.... Think about it for a second... Yes i know it takes skill, reads, movement, mechanics mind games all these things, but if you break ALL that down and all you need to do is think about when and how to apply those 2-3 moves, it makes your life INFINITELY easier than playing other characters who need to apply 10-15 moves to be viable. Yes i know other characters are OP too (Julia, Zafina, etc) but at least they require a high level of skill and execution in order to hit that "omg broken op" level... not just 2-3 VERY EASY to execute gimmicky moves. And before anyone goes off, I'm not salty.. I still play a lot of Tekken but im older and dont get as emotional over it anymore. Still, as a huge fan of the series and longtime player who still watches, it pains me to see the competitive integrity of the game fall so sharply with the DLC characters of Tekken 7, the reduced focus on side stepping, the addition of rage art.. etc. It just feels like they are slowly but surely removing the competitive natrue of the game and making it easier and easier... Will Tekken 8 even have players like JDCR and Knee? Or will the skill cieling be so low that its always a coin flip and anyone can win. Now, with all that being said - Watching a master; a true Tekken God, one of the GOATs, beat such cheese, watching his approach to it and seeing how competitive it is, is incredibly entertaing. Also 318 Likes ZERO Dislikes. JDCR ELITE.
@mukulkatiyar3863
@mukulkatiyar3863 2 жыл бұрын
That is what makes some characters viable in tournaments. In tournaments, you only have to place a few moves. A good low, a df1 if your character has it. The same logic could be applied to JDCR using Dragunov with wr2 and D2. The same logic can be applied to Arsalan's Kazumi. He only uses a df1, jabs, db4 and db3 with her. The only reason Saint was abusing df3 because JDCR was refusing to duck for the fear of being launched. They were intricately conditioning each other.
@henriquecampos4120
@henriquecampos4120 2 жыл бұрын
Man, you already shielded yourself because you know you're being salty and emotional over it. Otherwise, you wouldn't have wrote a 200 word essay on this video. Re-read your comment and instead of characters, you replace the words with players. More specifically, japanese and korean pro-players. You hate their playstyle, not their characters. Watch the video again an look at how JDCR plays. Dragunov: finna d2 and wr2; Armor King: "Dark Upper" and "Stunner". And then, look at how Saint plays: "Kick & Pull" (df3) and df2, sometimes a "Ganryu Combo" (df1+2) [he never got to confirm it, though], b1 (the backswing blow) [he did twice and that cost him the rounds]. He didn't use "Freight Train" (df1 and extensions) much, though. Some (CH) "Pedal Press" worked twice (sumo grab), few headbutts [b1+2], for some reason. Not a single "Salt Upper" (b+2) or even the high crushing one (b, db, d, df+1). "Tachiai" stance, only on combos fillers. One crazy hopkick (ff+4). Uff! As a Ganryu main myself, I saw all those moves, while you only saw df+3 or df+2. If you're having a problem beating Ganny, I'll happily help you out if you reach me. My conclusion: these motherfuckers are so tight that nothing gets them. I mentioned like 10-ish moves. Not a single one hit, if it wasn't for df3 and df2. The crazy ones that hit, even the commentators got surprised by it, and Ricksteezy is a Ganryu main. I was getting frustrated just as you were. The problem is Korean/Japanese Tekken, man. It's boring af. Remember: they're not playing to entertain you... They're playing to earn cash. Let me quote Aris here: in one of his streams, a couple of days later after EyeMusician took a horrible beating from JD, he said that Yoshimitsu players are pretty fun to watch. The problem: they never win, so you never get to see much of screen time from them anyway. Also, I agree with you. Ganryu was made easier. In Tekken 5, you had to do a mini-dash after df+2, because it launched upwards and forward. You could follow up with 1, but you wouldn't get much wall-carry, and this always was extremely important to Ganryu: having your back against the wall. Also, a crouch cancel to get the most juice out of df+2+3. Lots, but lots of "buffering" to do good combo fillers, since most of the time, you were inputting 1+2. And he lacked range, "Ducking Palm" makes up for it, but it's just one move. His handsweep and d2,2 were pretty slow though. That's why I got into him. He demanded execution, but not too much from a Tekken perspective. My suggestion: Watch more EUROPEAN Tekken! That's where the real fun lies in. And skip SuperAkouma's matches, by the way.
