Saint Joseph the Sidelined

Ever been passed over for some team or group? Ever been left out ...not told what is going on? This happened to St. Joseph many times, yet he is the second highest of the saints in heaven...even with his body having been assumed after Our Lady. Surely this was part of his passion... to participate ahead of time in that element of HIs Majesty's Passion where He looked for help but found none...

This has been part of my meditations for the First Sword of Sorrow on the Seven Dolors Chaplet - that Simeon mentioning only Mary having a sword pierce her heart foreshadowed Joseph's death before Christ began His ministry.

Please pray for me, I suffer a terrible depression and I cannot go to confession because I am tortured by horrible scrupulosity.

Offer up your depression to Jesus or Mary for redemptive suffering for others. Thank the Holy Spirit for your shame, because it is far better than no shame. There is not a Saint, that was born , that didn't suffer excruiciating guilt for their sins. Go to the Saints, they will help you.

@@GarrettLeute priests get angry and yell at me because of my scrupulosity, every time I go to confession I end up feeling worse because I'm sure I commit sacrilege by not making a good confession.
