Here is what I got from this. Feel free to let me know what you think. So what I got from this MV was he was talking to himself in a dream to give up bad stuff or addictions because he wants to be with this lover. There was an addiction to: 1) adult entertainment (pent house magazine references and also the horse reading the adult magazine was I think really a projection of himself or something he is ok with at least) and 2) loving to party (all the people in the wild party everywhere in his room, in the backyard, in his living room piano who are happy with him to continue in this bad course of wild immoral partying) and this is in the way of him being clean and 100% LOYAL to his lover. You cannot have your lover plus all these other girls at the same time whether they are in magazines or in real life partying with you. You either love her 100% and only her or you don't. Period. He is aware these 2 things are massive problems or addictions he needs to give up which is why he tells himself in the dream he has to correct all this bad energy (or more correctly these bad "desires") and friends because they have "bad effects" on him and he knows it. He tells himself "Tell me what you really want" which means he has to make a choice. His girl that he wants to change for or continuing in his wrong course and selfish desires. Then he tells himself "Pray you won't wait too long" meaning he has to change soon or else and he knows it. But the fact that he won't truly commit and say with total and clear confidence right then and there "I will change" suggests he is not really ready to change or doesn't truly love this girl. He is UNDECIDED still which is not a good sign at all. That is why he told himself "pray you won't wait too long". If he was truly 100% committed, he would not need to say he wants to "wait too long" but take action RIGHT THERE AND THEN and change. Change. In. that. instant. Not in some prayerful distant future to give himself more time so he can keep indulging in his bad selfish desires. He would burn all the adult magazines and he would kick out all his bad friends. But because most people don't change in an instant it could also be argued that it will take some time as it does mostly take time for everyone to change. And this makes sense. He tells himself throughout the whole song that a palo santo or holy stick will help him fix these bad energies which are probably not really energies but are really wrong fleshly desires which are very powerful and hard to control and his bad circle of friends. (Sidenote, i think applying Bible principles would work much better than a stick that just smokes and doesn't tell you what is right and wrong and conveniently leaves it up to the person to make up in his own mind to decide what is right or wrong, but anyways.. ) The people around him are also bad influences and it looks like they are treating him like a puppet. No one looks happy. They all look like ZOMBIES. Zombies that are being controlled. They are only happy when they are partying wildly then they look dead. This suggests they are hopeless. There is no true love there. He looks so dull and like he is being puppetted by all his friends. They are more in control of him than he is of himself. These are not good friends. He knows he is stuck in this circle of friends and he needs to break out of their gravitation bad energy pull and he brings out the holy stick reference again as a call to help to get him to break free from them. Then he wakes up from this dream and realizes he NEEDS to change if he wants to qualify to be with his lover as a 100% loyal man. NO MORE playing around with adult entertainment x-rated magazines or wild partying with a bunch of people who are bad influences and immoral and are not helping him. He realizes.... Its. Time. To. Change. Well that's what I got from it. If you think it means something else completely different, then Let's hear it because this mv was a bit hard to get to be honest and no one not even the artist has said what's its really about but lets go!
