That’s gonna be a tough one I think. YSL is usually not part of promotions anymore. 😔 Assuming you don’t want to go pre-loved, some options I can think of; - hoping you get lucky at an outlet store, or websites that do sell YSL with discount like TLuxy or Miinto - check platform websites and hope for a pricing mistake, e.g. I see one on Farfetch right now that has a price 15% under RRP - if you know someone who works at a place that sells YSL, ask if they could get it with a discount - get it from another country, if that’s cheaper Hope that somewhat helps!

Do you think the Saint Laurent gold embossing will wear off? If so do you know if Saint Laurent with restamp their logo?

I don’t have any noticeable wear on mine yet, but I think there’s always a risk with foil hotstamps that they’ll wear off over time. On this tote the stamp is also on a place you might rub your arm over while wearing it. I have no idea how Saint Laurent deals with that I’m afraid.

Hi 🙋‍♀️ Yes, the gold embossing will wear off over time (it did on mine after some time and it didn’t looked nice at all) YSL managed to fix it for free!

Is the bag strong enough to carry several thick books everyday?

Hi! In my opinion, no. A laptop and a book should be fine, but the straps are fairly thin and only attached to a relatively small part of the bag. I think it's going to be uncomfortable and that the straps might break or detach in the long run if it's packed heavily every day.

Would this bag be durable enough to use in college? To carry a MacBook, book, etc?

I think a laptop is fine, but personally I wouldn’t choose this for hauling around heavy college books. I’m doubtful the straps would hold over time.
