In some ways Martinique is cheaper, in other ways more expensive. But our beaches are nicer...and the Martinique folks will tell you that as well. :-)

I live there and it's so nice to see others enjoy my home! It looks like you stayed in the south and east. The north has the Gros Islet street party every Friday night, Pigeon Island, and some of the most beautiful beach areas on the island. You'll want to eat at Duke's for some fresh fish and lambi (conch). Give it a try next visit!

Hi Danielle! Thanks for watching! North is more "local life" with lots of markets & supermarkets. South is more resort life. Not many places to buy food. That's where the best beaches are. If you have a car maybe stay south and go one day to Castries to get food at the market or don't miss the "market day" in Soufrière. Enjoy it's going to be great! We're in Greece right now!
