Saint Lucia's Cultural Icon Patrick "Gilo' Bernadin

Celebrating Saint Lucia's best known Chantè and Konté - Patrick "Gilo" Bernadin of Belle Vue in Vieux-Fort North. He was a strong proponent of the La Woz Festival, coming from a family of folk singers who honed their craft in the island's interior, through the L'Esperance La Woz group which his parents founded. Gilo reflected fondly on those days and the many songs that have becomes staples for the La Woz Floral Society. Gilo would have been 71 today!
