I love that place ❣ I windsurfed there in the mid 90's a few times (once in my birthday suit). Some pictures we took sailing there did well in a Kodak Funsaver photo contest by American Windsurfer magazine... Good times and thanks for sharing your adventure ❣ Aloha from Maui🤙

My Wife and I did this a few years ago. very nice lake if the wind is low. If the wind is up beware.
@nolanventures4735 ай бұрын
Absolutely. We only venture to the east side on the days the wind is lower. Same with getting on the lakes - especially on the east side - it can really get insanely windy east of the continental divide. Cheers!

I was apprehensive about the wind coming up as the east side notoriously can 😆 and being out on open water. Thankfully our trust in the forecast paid off because as you said, the wind there can be a game changer. Thank you for the comment and sharing your experiences as well 👍⛰

A friend and I are heading out to Glacier third week of August. Been watching a lot of your Glacier videos for trails to do (and ones we know we can't do!). Great videos. Boy, you had a great day for kayaking! You are very lucky in where you live and having a live long hiking companion. Thank, Scott and Kim. From Western PA.

Spectacular Montana scenery as always! Thanks for the map feature so I don't have to pull up OnX Backcountry to check out the locations.

The still snow-capped peaks of Glacier were a great accent to this already amazing place. Agreed, Montana boasts some of the best scenery of all! ⛰ Thank you!

We were on the water early after our AIS inspection, 7:30am. I believe we were out about 7 hours including a stop for lunch in our jetboil and lots of sightseeing. We planned to take our time as this place is too extraordinary to rush through. Our kayaks were out of the water by about 2:30pm Thanks!

@@kimberlynolan2745 Thanks Whenever I've taken pictures at the wildgoose viewpoint in the afternoon, big whitecaps were breaking on St Mary's lake--strong west winds, had to hold my tripod to keep it semi steady. You hit it lucky, Did the winds pick-up by 4-5pm
@nolanventures4735 ай бұрын
We waited and planned for a day with minimal wind - which can take some patience east of the Continental divide.
