I'm a Saints old boy. I live now in the Netherlands. Around March this year I was looking for a video of Siyahamba, because I was praying to God for my father who was sick, struggling with cancer back in SA. I wanted to keep hoping he would make it through, but he didn't. It hasn't been a great couple of years. In March this video touched me, and it still does. I was fortunate to spend his last day with him, and still feel he is around from time to time. We are all related. May we all find peace after suffering. Thank you for sharing the video

And if anyone comes across this comment, I did find a video of Siyahamba from Saints: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mILCoYOveteMjck Life is for celebrating, even in tough times. This is a lesson from my father (and our Father) that I'm still learning

Apologies for the loss of your father, nothing ever prepares us for the loss of a loved one. He will forever be with you in spirit and the Lord Jehovah is always our greatest comforter.... We are indeed all related, this kind of music of Igwijo always has the effect to unite people like any music genre, because it speaks to the soul. May you stay blessed in the Netherlands and remember there is no home like South Africa, no matter the seasons home is home. Wishing you well in life🙏🏽

Imagine, its 2027, the Springboks are once again in the final, against England... And somehow, 40K south africans sing this song in unison, as one, loudly echoing with every clap. Even if we didn't win that game, it would still be worth it to see that.

The Chasing the Sun documentary brought me here. I so badly wish we could teach the spectators at rugby test matches to sing this, instead of ole, ole, ole. The Welsh rugby union has choir called "the Guernsey Welsh Male Voice Choir" that sings before their test matches, let's get St Stithians College to sing and teach this to a fully packed stadium.
