The "unlock full game" option in the menu is an option in Xbox live arcade games that you choose to buy the full version when you're playing the demo version.

I think the Unlock Full Game option was there in case there were to be a demo made available, and that this option would only be visible in the demo, prompting the player to buy the full game. It would be similar to how many more Xbox Live Arcade games worked.
