With everything that has happened with the series i still feel the Saints Row series will always be my favorite series for the following: Saints Row (2006) was and still is an amazing game for what started the series off, the gangsta element behind it was realistic in many ways and it truly makes you feel immersed in the dangers of the city of Stilwater. The gangs were grim and made to feel like actual threats, as we see what motivates them to see the 3rd Street Saints burn, but in the end after all the bloodshed and even the loss of an important member of the og saints, we are victorious, and even with it being old news by now, the switch up change we hot for Julius to be our antagonist by the end with the yacht explosion, this would give us an even greater story afterwards. Saints Row 2 is even better due to the fact it follows after the Saints were weakened and therefore the "old guard" was said to be dead and the saints fell apart, your player, now labelled as "The Boss", learns not everyone is gone and you recruit your bff Johnny Gat and this game brings about the origin of the other 2 iconic lieutenant's. The action was bumped up to what felt like a movie at times, though this was what made the story so memorable and engaging, from a nothing in prison to a criminal empire, but what follows next was my personal introduction to the series. Saints Row the Third was my first introduction to Saints Row, being very young with the releases of SR1 and SR2, it was my older brother who bought SR3 for the PlayStation 3, me being in early primary school at the time was introduced to many franchises, (my fav obviously being Saints Row), for me the game spoke to me, i saw a cool flashy badass game about a purple gang, being awesome and even playing as heroes at times in the plot, having all the funds from the previous installment being flushed away and you having to start in a new city with nothing to being the leader of an empire was so cool for me. Even with being as they are called a "new school fan", i would later find the older 2 games and i can understand where those before me see flaws with the game, being an at times absurd and overall meme like game, the power fantasy was a nice feel and i still find SR3 to be a good and well done game for the gangsta element. Saints Row 4 despite how the series took a nose dive into something else, was my second game experience past 3 and when i was watching the trailers, as well as the power reveals on KZbin, my intital thought at the time was "wow superpowers, so cool", alongside being the president and fighting off aliens to save the human race was a cool idea for an action game. With having later then playing 1 and 2, my experience with the series was i guess unique in the sence that tge first game i played, the 2nd game i played, then the ones that came before all of them were amazing, this series gave me consistency in making the saints feel awesome. Lets not ignore that yes, even i saw it as a bit of a wide jump from stopping 3 gangs and eventually the military grade faction trying to destroy us to shooting aliens in a vr simulation, having later replayed the series in the correct order of release does make me feel why many weren't huge fans of SR4, but lets face that even with how the series really started going off the rails i can and will admit, we can probably all agree that SR4 and SR3 aren't honestly as bad when going forward was (as is it hard to say with how much i adore this series) was dumpster fire and trash. Agents Of Mayhem (not a Saints Row game so...) Saints Row reboot.....a colossal failure in story, gameplay, character, its not even humorous like the older games, i feel alot of the time its a massive scam and that deep silver being the slimy skull fuckers they are should just shrivel up and die. Nothing else to say about this game, I've already replayed SR1 to SR4 already (from the announcement to release) twice and im still having a blast. Personal notes: Before i had even known Saints Row i had had my favourite colour be purple for as long as i can remember, my brother then introduced me to saints row who had a purple pallet which only help my attachment to the series. Since the release of the dumpster fire of the Saints Row reboot, i had used a custom clothes making website to replicate and even design my own og saints merch for me and my friend's, its an expensive plan but me and my friends intend to wear our irl saints outfits with pride for our love for the series, i sometimes cosplay as my boss irl, sporting a leather jacket, blue shirt, jeans, boots and sunglasses, i use the label from SR4 being the "Puckish Rogue" for my boss and any open world game with customisation (at one point even the reboots boss factory) i would put him in that respected game. Volition despite some of their own antics could and should be viewed as a lesser evil compared to deep silver, though everything that has happened my live for the og 4 games runs high and will forever will. Goodbye Volition and goodbye og Saints, you still hold a place in our hearts. 3rd Street 4 L I F E ⚜⚜⚜

The developers simply don't know what else to do with the game. I think they originally intended to expand the story with DLCs. But that and the characters blew up in their faces pretty quickly and they probably scrapped their original plans.

Honestly with how god awful the reboot was it made me appreciate SR4 and Gat Out Of Hell and I didn't like those games that much. Only good thing about the reboot is the map really, but not many interiors to go into and the NPCs are like dead fish.

I wouldn't go that far. SRR is more on par with 3 or least between 3 and these two. SR4 was much cheaper an ex-DLC made into a full game so basically a reskinned SRTT and GOOH was a turd up there with AOM. Which regardless of what is said is a SR game technically. All of them feel like they're made by people who don't really love SR as a brand much tbh or were bored with it after 2.

Not just the cast. But yes like most modern games it's censored and dumbed down to be for EVERYBODY. Rather than the loyal fanbases that gave series like this a platform.

Like... ...okay so you can't play as your character, but does any of these forgetful creatures at least unlock something FOR your character to use outside of the DLC area? At least, as much as people loathe Moxxi's Underdome... and yes you can use your character in there..., at LEAST you unlock weapon storage you can use for the main game. EDIT: Got to the end so I can just assume you literally get nothing from this DLC. So an absolute waste of time.
