They did return to the playoffs in the 2019 season, once again breaking the Saints' hearts in the playoffs in the Wild Card winning 26-20 in overtime, before falling to the 49ers 10-27 in the divisional round. The Vikings haven't made the playoff since then.

To my fellow Saints, it was a good year one worthy of keeping our head held high. Every now and then I rewatch this video, after years of repeated failure in the playoffs, this play was the greatest thing I have ever watched. There is no possible scenario in which the last man intentionally missing a receiver in a 1 score game is beneficial. You don't have to hammer him while he's defenceless. The looks on the player's faces were priceless!!! The Saints were completely stunned. And I feel bad cuz they played their hearts out and fought to climb back into this game. GG Saints! But Case Keenum running down the field with his arms outstretched looking like a little kid who just got a real live Dinosaur for Christmas was great. That guy has been a backup and played for some crap teams his whole career so that moment must have been a huge relief. The whole team must have been elated, to lose a 17 point lead, drive down the field and kick the field goal with less than two minutes less, only to have Drew Breeze take the Saints right down and do the same and only leave you 25 seconds must have seemed like the end. I sure thought it was. That entire last field goal drive by the Vikings I kept saying, out loud to no one "Run the ball! If you give Drew that much time he is guna eat your lunch!!" & when they lined up to kick the 53 yard field goal with a minute and a half left on the clock, "It doesn't matter if you make this or miss. You just let Drew Breeze eat your lunch! Cuz he is going to score with that much time" & it's not like I am some kind of genius for realizing that. You give Drew 90 seconds, a time out, anyone who can catch, and he only needs to get in field goal range? He guna eat yo lunch! And it sure looked like it when the Vikings started their final drive with a false start. Then threw up a floating pass to the sideline, that luckily was caught, then did it again and luckily it wasn't intercepted. But damn! With 10 seconds left they line up, throw another pass to the same spot and...BOOM MAGIC!!! A Great game by both teams, and one of the craziest most memorable endings in playoff history! P

*In Marcus Williams’ defense* : he’s running at full speed to meet up at Stefon Diggs to obviously try to tackle him. But as soon as he gets there, Diggs still has not caught the ball, so Williams ducks out of the way to avoid a pass interference. A pass interference brings the ball up into field goal range, and sets up a potential game winning kick for the Vikings. So if he hits him, he still gets the blame. It’s really bad either way. Very unfortunate play.
