The reason they look laggy is because all the character animations literally have the framerate turned down to imitate the appearance of 2D sprites when viewed during normal gameplay. It's actually a really cool effect and it works really nicely, especially for a game trying to imitate the style of an anime (a style of animation with a typically very low framerate.)

The reason android 16 won is because when he does the explosion he survives with only 1 hp left while insta killing the opponent. Also tip if you do play him you can swap him out before the other guys comes and kills him. He will recover all health to.

I am quite disappointed that 17 is only an assist for 18's super. Oh well. This said, I hope this isn't the full roster. It's a nice roster so far but 11 is a strange number of characters to have, and may be a bit small. But I could be just a bit spoiled by the other games that only have such large rosters because they've been around for a few iterations.

I'd say it's pretty likely since it would please the fandom and take 0 effort to just swap skins to make 17 the playable character. But they'll still count as one character so you probably won't pick 17 and 18 in the same team. With the blue doods it has already been confirmed that you won't be able to pick them and the regular goku/vegeta in the same team.

I imagine it'll be more difficult for 17 and 18 than it would for the swaps for Goku and Vegeta, because there would be more to it than just changing a few colors, since their outfits are different. Additionally they might have to record extra voice lines for each of them. Still, I wouldn't put it past them to go through with it! I'd certainly love to see it. My friend and I are pretty big 17 fans. Sorry for playing Devil's Advocate.

The Truth Nah, I don't think so. The fighting styles are completely different. The graphics are far superior but some prefer the 3D style rather than the 2D style. But it will blow the Budokai series out of the water.

See the problem is... people get too high standards for a game they haven't officially played yet. just cuz it looks good on paper, doesn't mean its gonna be grand when you actually get. Tenkaichi and Budokai was king of DB fighters, also including Budokai-Tenkaichi series; especially 3 which held it"s weight with shit load of Characters, venues, and fun gameplay. As much as I appreciate the attempts to pretty much give fans fan service with Xenoverse, it's lacked high replay value. You can play unlock all missions all characters then your pretty much left doing the same missions repeatedly either to unlock styles, items, or moves... which can become tedious over time. Now I haven't gotten to deep in XV2, so I can't say too much how's that it's any different from XV. And maybe in time I'll gradually get back into it. I won't say Ima DBZ fan nor a hater, but I have notice well than DBX fighter not excluding the ones I mentioned was either a hit or missed. Can we all remember that Fighting DB game Burst Limit, shit was crap! Now let's not lie about it was crap as bad as playing Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). SO to all the fans out there... don't raise the bar to high, until you actually get the game in you hands OR at least get a chance to play the demo 1st.

Hector JSO I hope cuz I stop holding high hopes for DBZ games, it's almost feels like they just trying to keep the series alive; just like Street Fighter. What I can agree upon is how good the game look to the cartoon. I mean sure there are some that look similar to the cartoon but this is spot on. Just imagine how many DBZ fights you can relive and feel like it's a ew take with this game. Granted if they do us right by actually giving us a full roster. Cuz we know that some DBZ always manage to leave out exclusive people from the series which use to piss me off; ever since B-T 3. I doubt it. At best, it would be selectable costumes for some characters, but that's pushing it, Arc System Works only did that once for one character, so even that is iffy. But hey, look at it this way, this will allow them to concentrate efforts more on gameplay, aesthetics or other stuff.

Xenoverse 2 and Raging Blast aren't really fighting games. I understand that some DBZ fans don't like fighting games but there are some who do. I am looking forward to this game.

I'm so glad to see a DBZ game in which the "weaker" fighters like Yamcha, Krilling & Tien get to fight on equal ground with the characters like Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks. Many of the minor characters are among my favorites, and it was always a bit of a pain to try to take on high power characters in the older games with them, as there was a huge curve.

Can't wait 'til this drops. It has that MvC2 feel to it and hopefully they have just as many characters on here. Baby Vegeta, Blue-haired Trunks from DB Super, Hit, Bardock, SS4 Goku and Vegeta, Vegito, Broly, Master Roshi. Just hope we get a good amount seeing that it's 3v3 and it's plenty characters to choose from especially the ones you don't see in many DB games.

I know it's the most important thing in keeping the game feel like anime with those 25fps (? or less?) animations while keeping everything at 60fps, but it hurts eyes in games, because they lack interlacing TV has.
