I didn't understand why the damages were so low on gohan during that combo. Why is this combo doing no damage whereas gohan finished him with what seems to be a simple combo?

Replay the moment, during the combo Gohan's health is constantly recovering, it's the Burst mechanic in action. When on your final character, that's just how ludicrously powerful it is. And I think it's that way for moments like that, since it suits a DBZ game perfectly. Both heroes and Villians fight on with near infinite amounts of tenacity when they are the final competitor, just like the show.

Yohann Colman There is a mechanic named sparking blast(or something like that, can't remember exactly) that works similar to the X-factor of UMVC3, except that it only regenerates your health and boosts your attack, and only affect the character who activates it. You can see Gohan activating it around the 4:45 mark, that is why he survives Cell's combo and defeats him with a simple one(by the way, that simple combo ended with a level 5 super)

Super is the best installment. Maybe you're blind 😉. GT was the worse. The dialogue and feel consisted of constantly telling the viewers what they were witnessing. Not to mention the horrible composition / oversight. And the creator NOT being part of it definitely showed... DBZ and Dragonball are just outdated. Yes they had highlights. But DBS has matured into something amazing, and right for the time... There is no comparison. Putting nostalgia aside... Grow up. 😑

It's not the bgm, unfortunately. Ark, like nearly every other DB game developer, will use a rock style bgm. Not a huge fan of them doing that unless the bgm was very similar to the anime. But needless to say this game is still a 10/10 for me

Lawerence Woodall was going to ask that to. I see a slight bluish greenish trail after his hand though. Maybe it's the energy deflecting button. Maybe that had its own dedicated button. If anyone else knows can you fill us in i was thinking that energy deflect would be inputted like a parry. Or is it two buttons like with Faultless Defense?

I'm not sure if I like the current 'sparking blast' implementation. Recovering in between hits of a combo makes no sense. Both players had it activated, but Cell ended up (unfairly, IMO) losing because he performed a longer combo. It doesn't make sense for your combo's damage to scale, but your opponent recovers at the same constant rate. They could potentially recover faster than you can deal damage.

that's kind of the point of the mechanic. It only gets better in use the less characters you have left and on top of that, damage scaling has always been a thing. The mechanic itself is one that inherently causes both sides to go for broke, neither side will survive by playing it safe
