"Boston was cool, but the drivers were scary" Ah yes, Massholes. I can't entirely blame Massachusetts drivers for being terrible tbh; their speed limits are ridiculous (60mph on a steep hill that has a stop sign at the bottom? Sure, makes sense) and their street signs are nonsensical (btw, that stop sign's on the other side of the intersection, because reasons, hope you see it). But that doesn't change the fact that I feel the need to be extra cautious when I'm driving and see a Mass plate nearby. They'll say they're all "just better at driving" because they constantly make risky decisions and survive, but really that's just an acknowledgement that it's generally riskier to drive in Massachusetts and they've simply adapted to everyone around them being a danger to public safety. I'm kidding, or maybe at least halfway kidding.

I know Woolie is FGC but watching SBF for years and seeing him mentioned offhand by FGC people is weird.

Montreal delicacies + michigan style I don't think this adds up

@@starsheep1140 the hotdogs are literally called michigans. you walk into lafleurs / valentines / any other hotdog place, you ask for "michigans" and they give you hotdogs topped with spicy meatsauce and chopped onions

Hey Sajam, I know it's not recent anymore, but you ever had interest in doing a match analysis of the Kemonomichi: Ogawa vs Machabo match? I'm just thinking back to how great your video on Tokido vs Daigo was.

I'm always shocked to realize how nice of a place I must live in when hearing about shit like that Tulsa dude. I'm a white person in the south, and somehow I basically never hear anything like that

the canonical form is fries + gravy + cheese curds but some more experimental version relax the definition to [some form of cooked potato] + sauce + cheese.

Socal has like 3 accents you can pick up if you're a dude. Valley guy, silicone valley (where you upspeak alot with vocal fry), or surfer/skaterbro. You don't really have any of it. If I had to guess an accent for you I would've said Montana/Colorado they have metropolitan style accents that are just a little uptight. I've got socal skate/surfbro pretty bad sometimes. No one calls you on it when you live in California and i went heavy on it for like a decade. Valley and surfbro have similarities and you don't sound anything like my accent. That's probably why the tulsa cab driver felt safe to try and rope you into the klan. I've been to Tulsa a couple times and many places in Texas and boy...do they not like me immediately. If I talk to anybody who has a southern accent I've got an uphill battle to have friendly acquaintances with them. I've lived outside of California now for longer than I lived in California but the accent will never fully go.

A mountain of poutine? You could say Sajam got smoked. But wait, did you mention Woolie? Shout outs to SBFP would be in order then, eh? "A little too kind to the blacks" JESUS F CHRIST, how come people still think that way in 2018. That's some fucked up shit. But hey - Sajam's storytelling is so good, man. I legit burst out laughing at least 3 times. Good stuff.

I'm white and I've lived in Alabama my whole life, the furthest away I've ever been was Kentucky, so it goes without saying that I've never left the South my entire life. I have never set foot in a city that wasn't bursting at the seams with seething racism. It's not really considered socially acceptable to actually commit acts of racism or say obviously racist things to people of color, but the very moment there isn't anyone in the room with a skin shade darker than rye, everyone collectively releases the bigotry they had to hold inside. It's fucking heinous how many times I've had a conversation with just some random white person who made it a priority to drop some racist shit into the conversation to 'test' me. Or how many times I've been hanging around a group when suddenly the conversation is about much people of color are just ruining this country. Racist jokes, tone-deaf conversations about the N-word, complaints about any black politician (they still won't let obama go), and of course, accusations against illegal immigrants for spreading disease, crime, and 'taking our jobs'. It never ends, and don't say a word to them about it or they treat you like you just shit in their dogs mouth. They demand a safe place to be racist without consequence and treat any white person who disagrees as a kind of race-traitor. I'll be the first to admit I'm going on a rant, but this place is hell and if I ever say anything my life is made even more miserable. I can't imagine what it would be like to live as a person of color here, and I'm not going to pretend I've got it worse, but goddamn does it suck anyway.
