The format is 4v4 Waseda style (A vs. A, B vs. B, etc.) and the teams are ordered by approximate skill level. The team needs 3 points to win the set and the coaches will be the tiebreaker.

But the rest of my League bois (Scarra, Shiptur, Boxbox), Coney, LazyMattman and ConnorEatsPants are all welcome returns, I'm glad they had the open schedule and the willingness to continue their newly found love of Tekken and hopefully FG's as a whole. I’ve watched her journey since the beginning and she’s improved so much since the last sajam slam especially since she’s been getting coached from both Phidx and Hidetone so it’s kinda disappointing we won’t get to see her efforts. And also Rosemi too. I think the last sajam slam scared her off Tekken which sucks because she’s so passionate about it. But hey, I’m still very excited for this one. I’ve been following Kaizer for awhile now so I’m glad he’s a new coach for this one.

I'm thrilled that the first event went so well, I loved watching the teams practice and compete, and I hope the second one does even better. WITH THAT SAID... Please take this constructive criticism seriously. I really can't believe you haven't fixed the format. It is RIDICULOUS that the format makes it possible that after weeks of practicing and getting their audiences excited for this event, the 4th players on each team might literally not have a chance to play in the big event. THANK GOD Scarra and QT literally refused to listen to that and forced their way onto stage to play in the first slam, defying the format that said they should just silently afk in that set, despite being a storied matchup across multiple game genres. Imagine missing that insane match. You, Sajam, are inviting creators to devote weeks to learning, practicing, and working through the frustrations of fighting games alongside their audience who become invested and want to see them compete, and the format does an enormous disservice to those creators who might put in all that time and never even get to appear on stage. That's a real slap in the face to those creators and their audience, and its totally avoidable by simply changing the format. In the previous slam, Sajam responded to this live, saying "This tournament isn't for them (the creators who got really good), its for the weaker players to have a place to compete." How rude, dismissive, and downright disrespectful to 1/4 of the players you personally invited to this tournament. I realize this was an off-the-cuff statement and may not be (I hope) how he really feels, but to look at all the time those creators put into the game improving for the event and then to treat them like second-class citizens who don't even deserve to be guaranteed a spot to play in this tournament because they are the best on their team is absurd. With that said, leaving the format as it is is actively keeping them in this second-class citizen position, so please fix it so they are guaranteed to play. Additionally, the old format put a ton of pressure on the third player. This was easily visible by watching any of the team's POV - knowing that if they lost then there was no chance for the 4th player to win or for the coach to play made it infinitely more stressful for P3s on each team, and the last thing any of the new fg players need is a format that makes them feel like shit because they let their team down just because they happened to be P3 and not win. Again, I am thrilled Sajam put this event together, but I really want to see it go well, to see the players have fun, and honestly to see all the great matches and content that could come out of it, but I'm sad to see a straight-up run-it-back with no changes. Please listen to this, discuss it with the players, coaches, and other TOs, and make some changes to learn from the past event.
