Sakana Stack - Two Player Complete Playthrough

Sakana Stack by Huff No More is a fast-paced shedding card game with fresh yet familiar mechanics. Set in the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, Japan, players take it in turns to lay down stacks of cards with matching values. If a player can't lay a legal stack of cards that has a combined total greater than what is on the table, whom ever laid down the unbeatable card stack will score a point.
Today, Libby and Julian are trying out the two player variant. The general principles of the game remain the same when played as a duo, but there's a slight twist on when stacks of cards are removed and how many stacks remain in play between turns.
We have found the two player rules turn Sakana Stack into a fantastic card dueling game. The variations on the standard game are quick to pick up, and at two, Sakana Stack is exciting, ruthless, with a number of options for each player's turn.

09:56 There is a rules mistake here. When Libby played a stack with a combined value of 8, Julian should have removed his lower scoring stack of 4 from play.
Was this enough to affect the final scores ? Well, in a subsequent turn Libby used this "should have been removed" stack to allow her to lay down another of her own stack of cards, which went on to score. So maybe it benefited both players?
But to clarify, if a stack of cards is challenged by a stack of greater value it should be removed from the play area, with the cards added to the discard pile.
