Thank you, my friend. I had an outburst of emotion the other night after watching a fighter lose his match and cry during the interview. Felt like I had to release some things building up inside of me, and making a video was the best way for me to do that.

@@MartialMasculineI relate to that very deeply. In 2011 I was in an accident that robbed me of my ability to walk and use my right arm, which Western doctors said I'd never recover from. Martial Arts and Traditional Chinese Medicine has enabled me to rebuild myself. Though my right arm is still permanently, partially crippled, and my legs are crooked, it gives me an ever-present reminder of my weaknesses which fuels using them as strengths. You run an important channel, sir, and I commend you for it. @MartialMasculine

I had no idea you were going thru all of that at the time, you’re a complete martial artist. A self defense instructor, a coach, a fighter and a martial artist expressing your self thru many styles, traditional and modern. Many martial artists never fought for real, many fighters only fought competitively and got out of shape and stopped training once their career was over. You’re about it and have a wide spanning martial perspective.

I'm glad you can recognize all of that in me, my friend. Sometimes I get disappointed about my fight career, but then realize I've accomplished much more than I had ever set out to do. Huge lessons learned and the price was high. However, I'm in a much better place now, surrounded by people who love me and who I can trust.

Support is so important in everything but especially in combat sport. You might be alone in the ring/cage, but you're supposed to be the head of the spear with a whole team behind you to support and guide you. Alone we aren't much.

@@alexfage5067 Imagine losing and your coach being disappointed that you tarnished his team's record. Then shortly after that getting humiliated in front of your teammates and kicked off the team for a misunderstanding. I learned so much from this experience and ensured I would never do this to my own team.

I too have been through this "process". Many schools teach us how to fight, many also teach us how to win. But few, very few schools teach us about the process of losing. And its an inevitable thing at some point in our life. I can relate to just about every word you spoke Sakan. Thanks for your honesty and sharing. In the dark days of defeat we learn about ourselves. Illusions we once carried with us are dispelled in the light of the harsh realities which life sets before us. Thus is born the seeds of enlightenment / step by step we tread the thousand mile path of the warrior. "We seek the truth, we accept the consequences". Blessings to you Sakan.

@@jameskeating765 Thank you for always supporting me and sharing your wisdom with us. Looking back on these dark times, I can see how much I've grown and improved as a person. All my insecurities and fears coming to light in the present are helping me to dispel my illusions like you said. It is not a comfortable process, but I can tell it is a necessary step in my growth as an aging artist. Blessings to you, my dear friend and mentor 🙏

We have so much in common its almost scary. I wish we had bumped into each other before 2020, I think we could have helped each other in our respective places. I hope I get to travel to you one day brother. Eat some raw cow, and break some stuff with our "bear hands" 🐻 🐾 Thank you for all you do out here.
