In Chinese, the term for Martial Art is "Wu Shu" 武術, which in and of itself means "one who's balanced and averts conflict", i.e.: WǓ 武 (Martial, Warrior) [COMBO OF 2 CHRCTRS]: Zhǐ 止 (avert), Gē 戈 (conflict) [止+戈=武] SHÙ 術 (Art, Scientific Discipline) [COMBO OF 3 CHRCTRS]: Chì 彳(walks w/ left ft.)* Shù 术 (method, tchnq) Chù 亍 (walks w/ right ft.)** [彳+术+亍=術] *ambidexterity, yin yang balance ** ambidexterity, yang yin balance KUNG FU 功夫 - which many think means "Martial Art art" - actually means "One Who's Attained High-level Skill through Hard Work", i.e.: KŪNG 功 (achievement, merit) [COMBO OF 2 CHRCTRS] Gōng 工 (skill, work) Lì 力 (power, strength) [工+力=功] FŪ 夫 (protector, husband) [BLEND OF 3 CHRCTRS] Èr 二 (two)* Rén 人 (person) Zhǔ 主 (master) *being equal to 2 people - or - one who's able to carry two beams across their shoulders

It's amazing how prolific the Chinese language really is. The characters symbolize more depth than we could ever imagine. I prefer the term 'Kung Fu' as it seems to use challenge and hardship as an important factor of growth. Conflict is something that we men need in our lives to learn from, overcome, and grow stronger.

You are told that 'karate' means 'empty hands', but in Okinawa where it was created it means "Chinese Hands"; Wu-Shu is NOT a Chinese MA, wu-shu is a post 1960's communist government 'flower' created for children to compete in INTL events; First to come out of the process that starts at +3 years of age were people like 'jackie chan'; 99% gymnastics with some air punches, not unlike the warrior pose in YOGA, when in itself will also NOT make you a warrior; ( Children entering 'wushu' are taken from familys as toddlers and raised in gymnastic factorys, where they are crippled or survive to become circus acts for the CCP )

If you think there’s some psyop against men you need to go tf outside. No one in the real world is telling you what type of man you have to be, people are mostly normal still. Just treat people with respect and it will be reciprocated.
@MartialMasculineАй бұрын
@@adamhernandez7626 That's not my take on the world. I see men suffering and living lives of quiet desperation. We can do better.

You are willfully ignorant. Men and women like you pretend there isnt a problem, which make things worse. masculinity is being attacked in every aspect of the media and you being neglegent of that fact is promoting the issue.

Let's talk about "WUSHU" and why its NOT CMA ( chinese martial arts ) Chinese Martial Arts are just "FINE", the problem is where you are going to learn CMA; 1.) The 'shaolin temple', to which every town in CHINA has one, show me the real shao-lin temple, even in DALI ( YUNAN) they have a 'shao-lin' temple where kung-fu foreigners play russian roulette with steel wing-chun dummys that 'hit back' ( lots of broken teeth & jaws ... ) 2.) In the USA & China, anything that says "WUSHU" then run like hell, cuz its a CHINA-GOV artificial post 1960's commie 'sport', with any & all combat removed; Jackie Chan and all come from this 'wushu'; Even the shao-lin temples all over china today are ONLY doing 'wushu', its a dance for entertainment, and children like jackie chan start when they are 3 years old to do their gymnastics; Now finding "REAL CMA", well where do I start? Now all my masters are dead, but most have sons that still carry their 'art of crippling men' 1.) Chen-Jia-Gou, Wenxian, Henan, now I'm not saying to go to chen-jia-gou for real 'chen taiji chin-na', I'm saying any small village in Wenxian county will have tons of farmers training real combat Chen CMA in the non-harvest planting season, remember they are all farmers; +25 years ago when I lived as a inhouse studen with my master in 'xulu', we trained daily from 6am to midnight, the drop out was +90% for all chinese students first week and all same cause 'They didn't know how to fall', first time they got knocked on their ass and landed on their elbows they quit; I might add that in 'wenxian' children learn static postures from the old-frame forms at 6 months of age, and all can fight by 7-8 years of age; ( with weapons too ) 2.) Shanghai, learn hsing-i from the TRIAD mafia bosses, its possible to hookup, they don't train in the parks most private gyms; But if your persistent with hsing-i people in the parks, they can introduce you to some real hsing-i killers; Bagwa is also good in shanghai, I used to train with pie-xi-rong, long dead now, but he has many disciples that can be found; If you like real combat taiji the WU people in shang-hai are also good, they train AM at the stadium, but again you will not see combat in the parks, all chinese are terrified of displaying 'real MA' fighting moves in public; Draws unwanted police attention; 3.) beijing, renmin park has tons of chen people, don't touch anything with a number, but learn chen shi taiji lao-jia ( old frame ), and its 2-person kumite (sparring), and its chin-na ( bone breaking take-downs ), when I was there Feng-Zhi-Quiang was the man, I'm sure his disciples are still at the park in their area in the AM; 4.) Harbin: I train with a guy name 'li' from Harbin famous bagwa master and his system is complete with sparring, and 100's of linear drills; Lots of very good Bagwa in Harbin; ( Bagwa is for breaking necks, hsing'i is for ripping out hearts and destroying collar bones, taiji is for +60 year old guys to keep limber and nimble, note real old-style combat tai-ji is not the GOV crap you see in USA, or on KZbin, even the CHEN stuff I see from chen-xiao-wong on Utube is not what I learn in wenxian, the forms were converted to competition trophy contests; In chen-shi chin-na, there are no 'locks' only joint destruction which they call 'bone breaking' ) The problem with all city CMA is that people have jobs and ONLY train in the morning, which is why after a few years of city MA in China all over, I went to the rural areas like "Wenxian", because there training is all they do when not sleeping;
