“Cough cough” 5cost Garp is the anti-trigger secret. Use his activate main to take out almost all relevant triggers. (All after saka attack) Also, if you have Garp out, then play the 10cost Kuzan, you can take out both a 5 and a 10cost in one turn. Or a 6 and a 9 for weird circumstances. Taking out a blocker Kidd, then the 9cost Kaido rips out a Purple Luffy’s soul.

Not a bad idea! I'm not a huge fan of trashing more cards from hand but I get the idea honestly

My list is always in the description below :) although I will say that I forgot to put one card in there. So it's missing a 10 cost kaido

Hard to say, I like the Issho since he is 8 don instead of 10 for Kuzan. Issho lowers hand size which is good for any matchup. but depends on situation

Not gonna lie when I saw 3 blockers on your side my only thought process was "how exactly do you fight through that?"

Amaru and thunderbolt , and tall swings... usually sakazuki has very little counters, especially in the late game if they haven't played kaido.

I use BOTH Issho and Kuzan in my deck. Issho is great if you're on the odd curve since you don't have to wait til turn 6 to play him (as well as hand destruction obviously). But in general, I am a full, die-hard believe in 10c Kuzan. If you get one on the board, Lucci cuts thru Enel's board like a knife thru hot butter. And just to avoid them putting all Don on leader and trying to take out Kuzan, I basically NEVER swing with him without either a few blockers or I'm going for lethal. But yeah, I don't believe it's a question of which one is better. I truly believe they're both good enough to be running. Especially cuz if you happen to accidently trash Kuzan off a Brannew search in an Enel match, it can feel really shitty. But at least you know you can still find a "mini Kuzan" in the form of Issho that Brannew can search. So yeah, I think they're both worth running personally. It might be a little greedy of me, but I think you have to be in the yellow matchup, which is becoming more and more common IMO. I've also found that Kuzan is just as good in the Sakazuki mirror. I actually used to always auto pitch him in the mirror. But that 10 cost stat line forces opposing Sakazuki's to drain themselves. What I really don't like about 10c Kaido is, you're kind of gambling, hoping you get some combo pieces in the 4 cards you see. And then in the next turn, unless you're already in an extremely dominant position, you're very likely to have to trash 3-4 cards to counter out of the next couple swings anyway. So it's cool digging deeper into the deck. But the thing with Kuzan is, he makes it so you no longer NEED combo pieces in the first place... He allows you to have 1 card removal options basically. AND he takes out an opposing character on play, getting some of the next turn aggression off of you. So yeah, this concludes my overly long Kuzan rant LOL sorry. I may have taken too much adderall again 😁

Haha love the rant. Yeah I'm really enjoying both 10 drop Kuzan into yellow. I like kaido for the mirror personally but I understand what you mean. Im just gonna see where it all goes and play it by ear :)

I've choked my last 3 locals in the finals as Saka vs Enel. I think i'm one loss away from going to the dark side and playing yellow.

Yellow is on the bright side :-) , go for it , but it's not an easy deck to play as you will have to not do any misplay or draw a good hand if you want to survive the aggression from purple or red. And against sakazuki , it's hard to have anything sticking on the board, so it's a tough journey but you can inspect your life and play with triggers which could help you stabilize one way or another.
