Glad to have seen your unboxing and demo' of this cheap chamfer plane. Have to admit, it looks like it struggles through the pine. I generally use a block plane to put chamfers on my meagre creations - the smaller items at any rate. Where it starts to get a bit of a chore, I tend to use a trim router. I know, it can be a bit messy and throw up a lot of dust. If that's an issue, I just pop it in my makeshift router table - just a board clamped to my workbench - and the vacuum takes care of the shavings. I did look at the £80 Banggood (Woodpecker knockoff), but at that price I tend to want to plug it in somewhere.

How do you sharpen the bits?

Tear-outs like crazy. And lock knob doesn’t fully secure the bit so slippage. Router, even a power sander, does a far better job. I bought mine a year ago and didn’t try it until now. Wish I could return.
