Saker Lockable 10" Contour Gauge Test and Review

Saker sent me their 10" contour gauge to test and review. This is the final result. If I were still in construction and daily installing tile and cabinets, this would definitely be in my toolbox. It has a few features not available on other contour gauges and is very useful.

Thanks for watching. They offer one that is expandable as well. You can add multiple units together to make anlonger one. Those are cool as well.

Love my 20 inch one and just recently went about welding up 2 cover for my 2 shipping container whirlybirds and the gauge makes quick and close enough measurements.

It's not the perfect tool but does deserve a place in the toolbox.

I'm thinking about getting this for woodworking, but appears the contour is jagged because of the width of each pin. Trying to cut veneer around a flat drawer pull and has to be exact.

It does have a slight jaggedness due to the narrow pins. It's fairly easy once you get the initial layout to make the offset even by using just the points (high spots) and drawing your line from them. Super small parts may not come out as well. I've made test pieces to test the fit with some success, just to be sure.
