No, I mean letting a piece of technology created in 1878 alone dictate whether or not you should buy a phone. Obviously he has never used an iPhone or doesn't even want to give it a chance without the headphone jack. I switched from a Galaxy S7 (non-edge) to an 8 Plus and I've been perfectly fine without it. I got it in April and I've never had any issues without the headphone jack. Battery lasts all day and I've never once had to swap my headphones out for a charger, vice versa, nor use a dongle. I'm constantly on my phone and always listening to music unless I'm at my college classes. It has about 12 hours of battery life sometimes more if I don't go so heavy on it on it all day. By heavy I mean constant use, not heavy tasks like gaming. I listen to music, make phone calls, and use social media. I have plenty of charge left over at the end of the day. They have their ups and downs just like any smartphone. I just wish people could quit being so biased. I'm not saying iPhones are the best in the business nor being a fanboy. However, I expect to be called that. *sigh*

Don't fix what isn't broken. The lightning to AUX dongle is a fucking disgrace. The lightning port and AUX could have fit. They proved this with every other iPhone. There isn't even a way to charge and listen to music at the same time. Flawed. intentionally lazy design.

I have an iPhone 6 right now but I think I’m gonna switch to the s9. I’ve used Apple for years and I’m sick of it..I get stuck with a shitty amount of storage(since it’s so much more expensive to get more + it’s worse when roped into a contract) and just general Apple is getting annoying. Maybe it seems silly but the thing that really got me to switch was when Apple decided to get rid of the headphone jack, they just seem so disconnected from what people actually want and they don’t care because they know people will still buy their stuff PLUS their wireless headphones. Ik all large companies don’t actually care about people but still they could at least try.

The S9+ is NOT faster than the X...it has the same processor as the S9. Apple phones have always been faster than Android phones. Not sure why anybody cares...either one is 3 times more power than anything your typical user needs. Only benchmarks show the difference. The software has more to do with this anyway. Apple is a closed system that is more efficient. I still prefer Android because it is more functional. Speed doesn't really play a part for me. Cheaper...that is important...but S9+ is still about $350 too much in my opinion. IPhone is about $600 too much.

Yasuke It’s not Apple tax…you pay for the luxury of owning an iPhone. Guaranteed 3 years of iOS support and an Apple store in all if not most states in the US, something you won’t get with Samsung. Then you need to factor in the phone cost much more to build due to Samsung tax. And every/most piece(s) of tech they have within their phones are from a year to 3 years ahead of android counterparts , such as the A11 being at least 1 year ahead of snapdragon and exynos , and Face ID being at least 2 years ahead of android completely. There are many benefits you get from using Apple as for android , it’s really just a lot of tech which tend to be gimmicks and customizability which most productive adults don’t utilize.

I recently upgraded to the s9 plus from and iPhone 6 and I love it. The freedom and huge amount of features you get software wise is great and a leap ahead of iOS. Only part that sucks is losing all my purchased content on iOS but in the end I think it's still worth it even if I have to re buy a few things. What i disagree with is using benchmarks on deciding which phone is more buttery smooth. I have iPhone 8 Plus (A11 bionic chip) and a s9. The s9 is more buttery smooth in everyday use (web browsing, KZbin, etc). Although gaming is the least important category (since even cheaper phones perform 100% satisfactory to nearly everyone), They are both equally smooth in gaming. I can’t tell a difference between the two. So the s9 should win in that category or it be a tie. Remember the times where galaxy phones use to beat iPhones in benchmarks but iPhones were smoother? Now its reversed.

I got the S9+ 4 days ago and its my first android phone in 6 years. My own personal experience, 4days with s9+ was a headache. My facebook messenger isnt working properly the bottom part of the screen was cut, it was so slow on sending videos to my friends and family and my smule app never worked no sounds on the earphones no quit button, no voice filters, nothing! I was so agravated. I guess not all change is for the better. My hopes are really high for the s9+ i have made a big jump from 6years being with iOS and chose it over the iphone X. And it left me with disappointment. But thats just me, its still a matter of preferrences, the fone was great itself it was in fact the most beautiful fone i have ever owned, but... the user experience i had with it esp with the most important apps that i use to communicate with my friends and family overseas, just won’t work for me. Tom. Im gonna have my s9+ returned and get a new iphone x instead. As much as i didnt like getting an iphone x my experience with s9+ left me with no choice. 😒😩

nice breakdown saki i always enjoy your videos. i chose the s9 cause of android's open system which allows for endless customization and milti tasking but the main reason i will always chose the s9 is because of the heart rate,blood ox and now bp sensor on the s9 which no one seems to highlight im also a big fan of Samsung health and this is why the s9 will always be my choice.

I found it funny, when S9 might be a better phone but compared to now if you buy S9 second hand either from any store or from people they selling them cheaper than IPhone X. So basically if you have IPhone X and sell it, you will get more money than those that sell S9. People still talk about X, whereas I hardly heard any KZbinr mention about S9. So S9 might be better but they are out of date quicker.

I have bought s9 on contract from o2 carrier. Just wanna mention tht i have recently switched from s7edge to s9 and samsung improved the heating problem. These days weather is too hot in uk and temperature goes up to 30 degrees and my s9 did not gets much heat up even with safety case on it. Satisfied with the purchase and phone's quality. Thumbs up for Samsung.

Face recognition struggles with glasses and on the dark it does increase the brightness to lit the face. iPhone X have one that works perfectly. Face ID. This is what separates Apple from the rest. They perfect what they do rather just throwing to many stick on the wall AKA "OPTIONS" with mediocre quality. Your review is BIAS.

i'm going with iphone 10. i'm due an upgrade in 2 months and was tossing between the two but it's final that the iphone is the one i'm getting. i've tossed between iphones and androids for years now. i got my first iphone in 2010 then galaxy note in 2012. then another iphone in 2014 and then the galaxy s7 in 2016 which i still have as of now and i just wanna state that both of my old iphones still work the battery is fine doesn't lag or anything. meanwhile my galaxy note i had completely frazzled after 2 years of having it it was unworkable. and now my current galaxy s7 is going down that same way meanwhile my iphone 5s from 2014 still works perfectly and i use it all the time cos the battery life is still better after 4 years compared to my galaxy s7 from 2 years because the galaxy battery goes from 100 percent to 0 within 3 hours it's getting worse. so yeah the iphone x is what i'm getting it also looks a lot better. i regretted the galaxy s7 the second i got it (in gold) cos it looked ugly i couldn't wait to put a case on to cover it up and the s9 colours look just as bad.

Tom Badua I think they have been working to fiz this issue with tye s8 by adding a tool called optimizing battery, and after a year I have heard no complaints from people I know. Albeit I have the s9+ I have been using that technique with other android phones and they have lasted very well. If phones are cheaper then obviously yoh will have to take care of them better.

I had an s9 for 4 months and went straight back to iphone, the phone itself was great but the software is shit...none of my banking apps were stable have to constantly re-enter log in details the yamaha av app also was forever crashing and it would never stream music to the receiver without having to constantly entering the ip address manually and google play music would only play through the phone no matter what i did, android is really bad
