@@blingqueen115 if you're on a budget, yeah. Let's keep in mind however, the fe is not an apex device. You get the S9+ tab and it's no different in terms of practical use from the tab 7. The GS22U phone is literally the same as the GS24U. Literally!

At first I was really struggling because I wanted an affordable tablet to be able to video output and kinda able to replace my PC to do some work, but then more videos I watched, I cleared my head, I realized that still, only PC can fully support my daily work needs, so if I still want a tablet, I'd mainly for entertainment purposes, so I went for the S9 FE! (With quite a huge discount lately). If you are also struggling, think of what you'll actually use the tablet for, even if it lacks/has more functions, doesn't mean the more is better for you, don't waste your money on something you don't need!

My 2019 13" Dell XPS is having bad battery and I can't find a replacement battery here where I live. I do my photo and video editing with that laptop at the office or at home, and recently I have to travel to remote fields and don't feel comfortable that the laptop needs constant power from an outlet. I feel that the S9FE+ would be a great sub for the laptop in taking notes and documenting my field work, and doing image or video editing with the laptop back at the office or at home. Would you think that this will be a good scenario? I've never had a tablet before. Thank you for sharing.

I was actually considering this as it seems to be snappy enough. But since I used Dex alot on my phone and was going to do that with a tab instead, this idea is dead as you can't use a external monitor. That is just bad from Samsung. I was gonna use both the tab for dex and external display when needing/wanting a bigger display size. Gonna keep looking for a used S8+ instead I think. They are hard to come by around here though, unfortunatly, and new is crazy expensive still...

@hallowas1457 I did I bought the S8 its been running smooth I do truck dispatching so it really holds up alot of my apps and I am constanly on a Skype call with my coworkers when charged to 100 I work from 6 am to 3 pm sometimes later and by 3 I usually have like 30 something left of battery charge. I am literally on it all day and it never lags or anything. Pretty happy with my decision

Never used a tablet But felt like I want One as I Do a lot of media consumption and lots of reading for my job. I hate 60Hz as all my other devices are 90+ iPad Pro is to expansive for something Im not even sure I want Tab S9 is great But also a bit on the Expensive side. So I went for the S9 FE. Got it for a decent price with discounts etc, around 150$ less than Tab S9 for the 256gb/8gb ram vs 128gb/8gb ram. I’m looking this tablet a the Verizon store. I have IPads. But I use mine for work. The problem with Ipads is there browser and other browsers on iPad wont opened certain webpages. The Tab opens every webpage I need for work. The funny thing is the IPad is the recommended tablet.

I was excited for a new FE model because I made a huge mistake and bought S7 FE with 4GB RAM config and desperately want to get rid of it in favor of a tablet that can multitask, giving me a light laptop experience. And they rolled out yet another abomination that has more RAM but they expect people like me to pay for an inferior SoC. Samsung's corner cutting antics has become too much. Samsung is so keen on watering down their midrange models, all of their Chinese competitors have better specs at lower price points now. Not to mention, buying an M1 iPad Air, with an SoC that S9 Ultra out of water, is a choice at a tad higher price point to FEs for the last couple of years. Samsung gotta know that brand loyalty or One UI can get them so far... People will be mad and start to switch to alternatives.

Depends on the apps that you might be needing for your medical studies. Are they available in both Android and iOS? Do you want to have the same ecosystem with your phone? I think you can't go wrong with any of them, but with Apple products the costs might increase quite significantly as you need more accessories (pen, keyboard, covers, paper screen).

After testing it out myself for a short time I just didn't like it. I could have got any tablet so I thought this time that I wanted to get the big one. After using it and traveling with it, a 12 inch tablet just seemed too big and awkward to carry around. The 10.9 seemed to hit the sweet spot of size (the size of most modern hardcover novels) while not being too big and bulky but at the same time offering more room than any phone. As awkward as the + was I felt that I might as well just take the laptop along if I needed that much extra space to work.

I think it's ridiculous that the s9 fe has 5G and the S9 and and Ultra don't. Why wouldn't you add 5G to all your top models? I can't fathom why they would do that. I want the s9 with 5G, not the s9 FE. I want the smaller form factor with all the bells and whistles.

For my business I have to take pictures of small items like jewelry. Please what is your suggestion ? Which tablet provides a good camera for that purpose ? Camera? Why not buy smartphone instead? But, if you insist with tablet, go to ipad or if samsung tablet is a must, tab s8 is still better than this "doubled" camera s9FE+..

I dont understand why they had to limit this tablet from external display, weird agenda. Even tab s7 fe could do that which btw have similar processing powers. Also 8 GB should be plenty for this. processor will be a limiting factor in this instead of ram.

Only "upgrade" would be os update/ security updates and 90hz lcd over the s7fe for the most part. Processor is not upgrade and the dex mode is crippled

@theWolfyugo you can't wirelessly cast dex onto a TV or monitor either on the s9fe. It's the same way how the s6 lite does dex. It's crippled

i have a Samung tab s9 fe. they did not have a headphone and the reccommended Samsung headphone with a usb c is not compatible . The tablet says....connected usb device is not supported. The helpful assistant at 450 George / Market str. But the Apple I phone worked. The assistant then asked me to buy a Apple headphone but did not want to give me a refund on the samsung headphone which I had just bought on her advise as it is now a used item. I found out that, the Apple headphone is 5 dollars cheaper. But what am I to do with a Samsung not working headphone for Dollar 34._? I always thought that, Samsung is a reputable company that produces products which are compatible with their own brands.
