Hi, this is by far thr best tutorial ive seen on this. Very simple and straight to the point! I was wondering if anyone might know why my puppet does not reposess after the cutscene ends. It goes back onto my puppet and the analogs control the camera but my puppet does not move. I am unsure if it is not possesed or if is possesed and just isnt moving. I have my puppet set to force possesion and this has worked fine until i did an in game cutscene like this one. Thanks :)

Never tought about using keyframes to use cameras, even though it souns so logical now that I think about it. Also Ithink its possible to just go in the tweak menu from the timeline, there you have 3 options that you can choose from and you can set it to play once.

Hey great video! Like how you explained this and its very useful! I have a question is it possible for you to make an interactive cut scene like in the naruto storm games? Both single push where you have to press it fast and button mashing ones. Along with if you failed either it'll trigger a game over or progress threw the cut scene if you did the prompts

Great tutorial! It helped me create something cool and learn how the gadgets work so thanks. I have a small issue though. I want to have a short animation at the beginning of my scene to do a quick character introduction where my character exits the house being animated with the puppet gadget, have a camera zoom into him as he does that and then everything deactivates so I can control the puppet. It all works perfectly using your tutorial here but when I return to that specific scene using other doorways I keep getting spawned into the same animated doorway although I have everything wired properly. I noticed that if I remove the puppet animation it is all working fine... so my question is. Is there a way to play animations once in a scene and then never have that activate again if you come back to that scene? Keep in mind the animation is set to activate as soon as the scene starts without any zones to activate it as I want it to start as soon as the player enters the game.

Ok I’m about to throw my controller lol!! It’s probably a simple oversight. The first time i tried to make a cutscene it did no problem except it would pop back to the first camera position. So I deleted the timeline and just restarted. However, now after I position the camera at the first beginning position I try to copy the key frame by doing as I did previously hovering over the key frame and pressing and holding “x” on DualShock then I try to drag and copy but it won’t grab the key frame!! I can reposition the key frame by hovering over it and pressing right trigger but no go on drag and copy ughhh!! Very frustrating!!! Please Help!! Lol!! By the way I love your videos they have helped me tremendously

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge! I have a question. I have a first person character and i came up with an issue while doing this. Everything works perfect but once the animation ends and the camera goes back to the character, the character has made a 180 turn. What should i do in order to keep it the way i left it as it was when the animation began?

Let me tell you also that i dont deactivate the controller sensor while the action camera is on cause i have things happening when i press buttons so i need the buttons working while animation is on

Very usefull tutorial thank you ! I wanted to ask if anybody can tell me how is it working with still cameras ? I think about cut transitions, no travelings or dollyshots. If I try your way and don't use L1+X to fusion 2 keyframes,when I play the scene it directly jumps to the second keyframe. Any Ideas ?

U have to use 2 cameras and pull them into a timeline

When I press play i see the camera going along the track but in play mode the camera just sits there statically. Can anyone help?
@Simbabweman2 жыл бұрын
I've always been told I'm very skilled with cameras and I think of myself rather good using real cameras and using them in Maya, 3DS Max and Blender but after having dreams since day 1 (taking a break for some months in the middle) I have to say they are really unintuitive. I've put a camera down and put keuframes on a timeline where it should go, just 2 keyframes and the camera should move straight up (held L1 to move straight vertical line) and when pressing play the camera moves in a backwards arc through some objects even after multiple attempts. I have also tried using multiple cameras on a timeline putting transition types as they are clearly meant to be used like this in some way since the cameras are fitted with transition types just like keyframes are but they never move the way I want. Transitions are so frustrating I still can't get it to work and I feel you shouldn't have to make a tag and an object to follow, that's just too much work for a camera and doesn't seem very intuitive. Keyframes should be enough but they want to create their own paths instead of a straight path. I think they need to revise them a bit.
@SakkusMind2 жыл бұрын
Hmm, I'm afraid you must have done something wrong. I can assure you that it's possible to create any movement of the camera with just a time-line and keyframes. The tag was only for the character not the camera. If you put the first keyframe at the starting position and the second keyframe position further above it will move in one straight line, it will only add a curve once there are 3 keyframes involved. I have worked with cameras in C4D before and it was a nightmare compared to Dreams 😅 can't talk about the others tho
@Simbabweman2 жыл бұрын
@@SakkusMind thanks for the info I've managed to get the scene I was making finished since that comment and it has worked now although occasionally the camera will stutter when transitioning for a brief moment. I've tried moving the keyframes so it should be a smooth cut between positions but it occasionally still does it though not a big deal.

I wanna try creating the entire Attack on Titan area Obviously it can't be in one scene. I guess the districts can be their own scenes and the inner walls are separated into fourths so that could work. Then just try not to use all of the doors and reach the limit before I get everything. I suppose the districts can just be the same thing. But getting on the walls in the district scene I'll still have to show the area outside and the walls. Fog could always cover it up after a certain distance. Hmm, this is good. The wall part is easy enough I just need the dimensions. I obviously know the hight but the width and lengths are going to be massive. (I could make a 1:2 or 1:4 scale if 1:1 won't work.) Or I can scale the characters down a lot and make it look massive but actually small. Sculpting Titans and characters will be hard, for me at least. And it's gonna take a long time. I suppose I could have interiors put they can't be too complex as I couldn't waste using a doorway.

Does anyone know why my dream shaping menu doesn't look like Sakku's? When I go into dream shaping the menu that comes up has the dreams workshop at the top (where the tutorials are), under that is where I can start a new scene, element or dream and under that is where my creations are. I have seen multiple people go into Sakku's dream shaping menu and I don't know why.
