Yes they have to do the recording session get the mouth flaps right and the scripting and then edit and probably find ad revenue so they can get paid

They do do more then voice over they also add things like the eyes tht wernt originally part of it show then they make a script so on I think it's a good time frame honestly mayby as little slow yea but not tobad

If you're trying to go fast, then no, you could probably do an episode a week or faster. But if you are trying to make a good, high-quality abridged series, then yes, it takes a while.

Writing a script for anything is incredibly difficult. Especially when your perfectionists. SAO takes forever because they want the product to be really damn good, so they take time making an amazing script, then take more time to edit said script into the anime
