I think you should look at Sakura as a Stray cat that's his hole concept as a charecter, from his design to the way a Stray cat who is traumatized reacts to sudden love and afection as if they we're threats

I love this series. Yeah, Sakura came from an environment where he was dismissed, looked down on, treated like trash for the way he looked, and he became the person they expected of him. You're seeing what happens the very first time he's treated like a human being, offered gratitude and companionship. He's... not very good at receiving that.

I'm a handful of episodes into this myself and enjoying it. The fight animation is surprisingly good. I also find it refreshing to get an MC who doesn't start out a pushover.

i dont think the plot is strong for this one, but character development is really great. it's kinda like haikyuu where the plot is just battles/matches but there's a lot of character development going on in the background. and the characters are very loveable! so hope you enjoy it!

HECK YEAH this show is worth watching, some of the cleanest hand to hand I've seen. If you don't mind some over-dramatization of plot points and characters, then you'll enjoy this show.

It's not just Sakura and Megumi sharing a seiyuu - Suo has the same seiyuu as Mahito, Sugishita has the same seiyuu as Inumaki, and just wait for the other one

Yeah! At last, you watch wind breaker ❤ This anime is more than just fighting & gang-style brotherhood, it has depth. It has amazing character developments, storyline, leadership, life lessons, also great VA castings, fighting choreographies, great animations & soundtracks. It’s a masterpiece! I guarantee you wont regret it 😊

The show is pretty good but if you expect non stop action you will be dissapointed. The start is a slow burn which is fine and introducing all the main cast. In the middle is a great showdown and at the end is more setup for next season.

I agree with you, I was not really interest in this anime because just like you said, I am afraid that it was just about high school rebel stuff like the other similar anime, but I gotta admit the characther design of the MC really made it kinda apealing to watch. But of course Umemiya with Gojo's VA and hair color is the real reason I wanna watch this LOL 🤣
