I just finished the game last night. The story and dialogue parts were very entertaining, but what they did with the game's combat was utterly inexcusable.

@Jaylyn Flow I know, I've played games that are story focused before. This one? It didn't simply pay more attention to story than combat. It made combat a completely mindless slog with a bit of button mashing thrown in. The previous titles were story focused too, yet they had a full combat system.

@@frozenwaffle206 For what it's worth, I'd say wait for a price drop. The character interaction is fun, but that's about it.

@@megamanblack4309 It's like an alpha of a hack n slash. I went through every battle with two buttons: dash and heavy attack. Zero thought process. And about four copy + paste levels to fight in throughout the whole game.

@@billyj.causeyvideoguy7361 Most bad arpgs are repetitive, the good ones have an engaging and fun combat loop that never gets old even with multiple play through FromSoft games being the shining example of one.

@@pravum3150 this game is simple musou, without RPG elements, and most of musou games are repetive button masher. And fun fact: battle system in this game (Sakura Wars) was developed by ... Rya Ga Gotoku Studio (Yakuza series). And comparing Visal Novel with Soulslike is bit unfair.
