Saladin is one of the most well-known opponents of the Crusaders in the Holy Land. A devout Muslim, shrewd politician, and excellent general, Saladin established himself as Sultan of Egypt, and ultimately conquered Jerusalem in 1187. He came very near to annihilating the Crusader presence in the Levant completely. This video provides an overview of his career.

I am a Kurd from Iraq 🇮🇶 but really it doesn’t matter he was Kurd or not he was a greatest muslim warrior and respectable sultan ever a real muslim with respect ✊ for every one no matter the religion ..I have heard that his uncle names was Shirko which is kurdish and his mother khatun or xatun kurdish name ..but what makes the deferent ..✌️

Salahuddin was perhaps one of the greatest leader the world has known, same as Omar, son of Al Khattab, the second Calif, the martyr. Both of them are studied by many people without them knowing it.

Sallahudin was fighting aganist 600,000 crusaders. he adopted defensive strategy to save Jerusalem. Richard came for Jerusalem but returned home empty handed because of the Great Sallahudin. It is Richard who asked for truce.

shahbaz jadoon incorrect. 600,000? Where did you get that ridiculous number. That is utter nonsense. Richard had far fewer troops than Saladin, but he still defeated him. Richard certainly didn't go home empty handed, he recaptured a lot of cities and territory from Saladin. It was Saladin who was forced to the treaty table because prior to Richard's arrival Saladin had all but wiped out the crusader holdings. The third crusade was a victory for Richard and a defeat for Saladin.
