@@oiulti6900 how did Jerusalem become land of muslims? by peaceful conversion? how many countries fell to jihad before Crusades were called? why were crusades called? Saladin indeed was a great man, but crusades were more of a response to all the terror, than unprovoked war

@@beqatchilashvili7000 not true. Jerusalem was given to the Muslim / Arabs, due to the defeat of the Persian and Roman wars going on to the North of the Arabian peninsula. The Arabs secured the war zone, and in doing so… defeated both the Persian and Roman empires. The Romans, gave Jerusalem to the Muslims, who brought back equality, justice, and Jewish people being persecuted and expelled from Jerusalem. The Muslims also, moved into the Byzantine empires primarily because unilateral Christian’s were being persecuted by trilateral Christian’s, and neighboring states, petition for the Muslims to come conquer their lands, because their kings weren’t only persecuting, but being unjust in forms of taxes to their kingdom. The Crusades was a byproduct of the sanctuary the Muslims brought to the region, that caused people to leave with their wealth, primarily to the Muslim empire, so they tried to pillage what they could, since the Muslims were gaining everything that was once their kingdoms to rule. Still, it was the citizens who helped the Muslims really invade into the Byzantine that caused this act of desperation by the crusades… it wasn’t even desperation really, it was more an act of stealing back wealth the Muslims acquired from refugees and statesmen who supported the Muslim realm. Also yes, peaceful conversions too.

The Battle of Jerusalem may span several different periods historically, but the period you probably want to talk about is the Third Crusade, which resulted in Saladin recapturing Jerusalem in 1187. During this period, the Knights Templar and other Crusaders lost Jerusalem. During Saladin's recapture of Jerusalem, the Knights Templar were among the Crusaders defending Jerusalem. The knights participated in the defense of the city, but to retake Jerusalem, Saladin's army was too strong and ultimately captured the city. As a result of this battle, many Knights Templar died, were captured, or escaped. Saladin allowed them to take the city peacefully, but this battle was a major defeat for the Knights Templar and caused the Crusaders to lose Jerusalem.

Christian’s had one of the shortest reigns in Jerusalem, honestly the crusade was just a bunch of Europeans who went to the Middle East and captured the city because their holy figures and popes told them too and soon after they lost it and never got it back, now the Israelis have it. The inhabitants of Jerusalem never really connected or liked the Christian rulers as they were European and the inhabitants were Arabian and the Christian rulers didn’t mainly speak the native tongue either so there was a very big disconnect between the people and the Christian rulers at the time.

The Battle of Marj Ayyun was a military confrontation fought at Marj Ayyoun near the Litani River (modern-day Lebanon) in June 1179 between the Kingdom of Jerusalem under Baldwin IV and the Ayyubid armies under the leadership of Saladin. It ended in a decisive victory for the Muslims and is considered the first in the long series of Islamic victories under Saladin against the Christians.[3] However, the Christian king, Baldwin IV, who was crippled by leprosy, narrowly escaped being captured in the rout.

This was not the death of the Templar knights, that happened at the hands of there own king worried the church had too much power so made up rumours that they secretly worshiped a demon named baphamet to defame them and dissolve the order.

Wrong, the crusades occurred due to Christians feeling increasingly threatened by violent Islam expansion. Muslim forces invaded the Christian lands of Israel first in 635. After 200 years of expansion Islam raided Rome (the home of Christianity). This raid and an Islam invasion up the Spanish peninsular prompted the Templar knights to invade the Holy lands.

@@seanegan3449 you likely don't know how to interpret historical facts lol --> learn to differentiate between triggers and reasons. 1) Why is Rome the home of Christianity when Jesus' mission was in and around Jerusalem ? And Byzantium and Rome are two different cities !! Byzantium was Orthodox, and Rome was not.. 2) And unlike the barbaric crusaders, the Muslims conquerors both in 635 and later on *always maintained the sanctity of the place, and minimized blood shed. These were a noble people.
