Quick question after you have done your prayer do you need to to another one like the exact same eg: when you say asalam mun alaykum be rahmatulahi wa bara kar tu do we have to do another prayer
@aminahemilialazim645522 күн бұрын
after you complete one entire prayer, like dhur, for example, your next prayer would be asr. If you want, you can pray asr immediately after you pray dhur ((or do it anytime before the time scheduled for isha). Likewise, once you pray maghrib, you can pray isha immediately after (or do it anytime before the time scheduled for isha). I hope this answers your question, but if not, let me know!

@aminahemilialazim6455 Жыл бұрын
@@luvmyg4053 that's a great question! In my experience, it is more common to wait to make personal du'as until after your prayer is complete. For example, after I say takbir (Allahu akbar) three times, raising my hands up and down to close the prayer, I will often stay on my prayer mat, put my hands together with my palms facing up (like in qunoot) and make du'as. Some people prefer to also do tasbeh (prayer beads) while sitting on their mats after prayer. Now, during qunoot, after the second ruka, I have heard people ask for Allah to forgive their parents, but I have not seen people make personal du'as beyond that. In curiosity, I searched for an answer to your question and found this: www.al-islam.org/ask/can-one-recite-the-qunoot-and-other-duas-in-ones-own-language-while-performing-any-nafilah-prayers so, I suppose it may be possible.

@@luvmyg4053 yes, there are some specific du'as or verses one can recite during qunoot. In these videos, we only included the shortest and most common one. In fact there is a lot you can add to any of the 5 daily prayers in general, we just included the most basic and necessary here in order to reduce the cognitive load for the learner. Hello, I'm a shia but when I pray at the end I always turn to my right shoulder and say "Alsalamu alaikum wa rahmatu Allah wa barakataho" and then i turn to my left shoulder and say the same thing to greet the two angels on my shoulders, but in the prayer tutorials for shia that I've seen no one does that, why is that
@aminahemilialazim6455 Жыл бұрын
Asalaamu alykum, after the prayer is finished (after takbir has been said three times), one can add anything they want to the prayer. However, you will find that scholars in the Jafari school do not generally consider it necessary to turn the head from right to left when saying your salaams. I quote the following: (source: www.al-islam.org/shia-sunni-debate-answering-50-most-common-questions-liaket-dewji-baqerali-alidina/chapter-4-holy) "Why don’t the Shia turn their heads from side to side while reciting the “salam”? To support this Shia stance there is a tradition from the Sunan of Abu Dawud, one of the six authentic Sunni books of ahadith, in which Holy Prophet holds Abdullah ibn Masud’s hands and teaches him the recitation of tashahud. In Sunan Abu Dawud, in the Chapter of Prayer (Kitab al-Salat): Hadith Number 965 states: “Abdullah ibn Mas’ud narrated: ‘…the Apostle of Allah (S) caught hold of his (Ibn Mas’ud’s) hand and taught him the tashahud during prayer.’” He then narrated the tradition of tashahhud. This version adds: “When you say this or finish this, then you have completed your prayer. If you want to stand up, then stand, and if you want to remain sitting, then remain sitting.” There is no mention of the turning of the head!" Source: www.al-islam.org/shia-sunni-debate-answering-50-most-common-questions-liaket-dewji-baqerali-alidina/chapter-4-holy Inshallah this helps!

Is that kunut obligatory in salah every time? I am not familiar to this way you guided.At the end of salat we do turn our neck... I am confused!
@aminahemilialazim64552 жыл бұрын
In the Jafari Shia school of thought, kunoot is required for all prayers in the second ruka. The turning of the head from right to left when finishing salah is observed in Sunni schools, not Shia. Other things you might observe in Sunni prayers are the folding of the hands during the beginning of the prayer, raising one index finger while your hand is on your thigh...turning the head from right to left at the end of salah is one of these things that those to follow Sunni schools of thought do. I hope that makes sense!

When you make your niyya, you must make it for either dhur, asr, or isha, by saying "nuwaitu en usali al duhr" or "al asr" or "al isha" depending on the prayer. This is why we have these three prayers in the same video because it would be a waste to make separate videos for them since they have the same number of rakat (4 rakat). Fajr has two rakat and mahgrib has three, which is why they are in separate videos. I hope this answers your question!

Why do shia not recite surah el fatiha in the 3rd and 4th rakat? The prophet saw said your prayer will not be valid if you do not recite fatiha.

after sajdah, do we not have to recite ataiyat??? pls reply
@aminahemilialazim64552 жыл бұрын
In the school of Ahlulbayt (AS) we refer to ataiyat as tashahud. You will see this labeled as "tashahud" in the videos where one must recite it. In other schools of thought, tashahud is slightly different. As Jafari Shia, we say: ʾashhadu ʾan lā ilāha ʾillā -llāhu waḥdahū lā sharīka lahū wa-ʾashhadu ʾanna muḥhammadan ʿabduhū wa-rasūluhū. "

Dhur, Asr, and Isha have 4 rakat. This is why we made 1 video for these three prayers. You can pray all three exactly the same, as long as you state your intention (nia) at the beginning of each stating which prayer it is. I hope this helps!

I am new to praying And find this very helpful! So if I do exactly the same as instructed in this video, my Dhur Asr and Isha are peformed good? Or is there something else I need to add to the prayer? I heard that need to put intention into your heart before you start your prayer so I was wondering if there are any other things we need to consider doing before/while or after praying?
@aminahemilialazim64552 жыл бұрын
Salaam! This is a great question. At (0:51) of the video (right after the azan and iqama) you will see the "Niyya" slide. As you know, Niyya means "intention", and this is where we state our intention. At this part of the video (0:52) you will see three different options for what you should say. If you are praying duhr, you say "nuwaitu en asali al duhr", if you are praying "Asr" you will say "nuwaitu en asli al asr", and for isha you will say "nuwaitu en asali al isha". Alhamdulillah, your statement of intention (niyya) is the only difference between dhur, asr and isha prayers (this is why I have labeled the video for Dhur, Asr, Isha). There is nothing else you have to recite before or after each prayer. There are some NON-required things people do, though, if you are interested! Some people like to stay seated on their prayer mat after prayer and make dua or do tasbih. You may also see some people doing tasbih before prayer. This is not required but you will see people doing this, as it is something extra. Another example of something extra is that some people also kiss the turba and touch it to their forehead after prayer. Anything you see people do before or after the required (fard) prayer is optional/extra and not required. However, do make sure that you follow the requirements for being tahir (clean) and perform wudu (purification) before praying, as this is a necessary condition for salah. I might make a video soon about how to make wudu for those who are learning!
@aminahemilialazim64552 жыл бұрын
Oh and also, make sure that during prayer your mind is focused on worshiping Allah (swt) and nothing else. Try to find a quiet place free of distractions (and music especially). These are things that all of us continue to struggle with! :)
@user-ox9nr5lu3q2 жыл бұрын
@@aminahemilialazim6455 thank you very much for the extra's! I still have 1 question regarding the feet posture in 7:28. I have seen many videos, pictures etc. of people laying their left feet under their right thigh while still having the right feet and thigh straight to behind him/her. Could you please elaborate on this?
@aminahemilialazim64552 жыл бұрын
@@user-ox9nr5lu3q Great question! in 7:28 in the video, it shows that you should sit up straight with your legs bent in parallel and your feet crossed (right behind left) and they should be directly under you. For women, the feet do not need to be crossed. What you are describing that you saw is the positioning of the legs and feet according to Sunni schools of thought, not Shia. In many Sunni Madhabs people will layer their feet under their legs as you described. This is not required for followers of the Ahlulbayt (as).. I hope that makes sense!

Wasalam! The text is there to support the recitation. What is recited orally is exactly what one should recite during prayer. The text includes a bit more than that to help the person who is learning. For example, each section has a title like "ruku" or "athan and iqamah", etc at the top of the screen, but we don't say these titles while praying, as they are just there to help the person who is learning to understand that prayer is recited in sections and each section has a title. Also, you will see in some sections that it says (2x) after each line. This means that that phrase is said two times. We did this is save space on the screen, assuming that learners would automatically hear this and recognize it. The text is there to help the learner understand the different sections and visualize what is being recited. However, if this is confusing to you, yes, I recommend just listening and following the oral recitations. I hope this answers your question!
