I used to ride the trail 23 yrs. ago. Not able to do so at my age now. It was one of my favorite spots in WS. Many great memories. Nice video. Thanks for bringing back those memories.

You should look into ebikes, I've been able to continue riding despite severe arthitis.

I was riding this trail back around the same time, knee injury ended it and I still miss it very much.

I believe your direction of travel was clockwise around the lake based upon your departure point from Jamison Park. Anyway a great video and thanks for posting.

Had to watch it again,, that climb along the chain link fence has it's share of walkers. I really have been slacking on riding so heading there tomorrow, maybe 1 lap then on to Granite park which is a nice ride

I've logged many miles around that lake over the years. This year has seen a major increase in the volume of foot traffic as well as bike traffic. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

I'm mainly a roadie, but my new bike can hold 35mm gravel tires. This was my first gravel ride, and I loved it. Video very helpful in showing that MTB wasn't necessary.

Thanks, I need to get out to the eastern part of the state to do some exploring myself. My current work schedule is interfering with being able to do video editing. We're still out riding and taking pictures but not doing any filming at the moment. Thanks for the sub, I'll keep an eye out for more of your videos!

@@BikesTrailsandGreenways I think he would enjoy the Cape fear River mountain bike trails. I’ve got a series of videos that covers them. Looking over some of yours I think that would be right up your alley. Stay safe God bless, and keep the wheels turning.

I used to live 1/2 mile from there, decent easy workout there and scenic. I sold my Enduro bike about 8 months ago and just bought a hardtail that should be about 20.5 pounds after upgrades so a perfect place to use it and get back into riding again. Have you even been to 'Quarry park'? You can reach it from the lake by passing the golf course instead of doing the circle, its a long grade to get to the quarry and a bit of a challenge
@BikesTrailsandGreenways2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I have gone a few different routes from Salem Lake to Quarry Park. I've got a video where I go from the greenway to Quarry, nice challenge!
