SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS Drone Video Tour

Founded in 1626, Salem is one of the most significant seaports in pre-revolutionary America. Made famous by Arthur Miller's 'The Crucible', this town of 41,340 people transforms into a history- and literature- buff's paradise each October. We made it here during the thick of tourists exploring the Halloween and witched-themed shops and museums. There's truly no place like this on earth in this season.
Even aside from all the spooky stuff, there's so much to see and do throughout the town, like the House of Seven Gables Museum, Salem State University, Pioneer Village, the Salem Maritime National Historic Site, Salem Willows Park, and the Peabody Essex Museum. There are many POW memorials throughout the city, as Salem is considered the official birthplace of the U.S. National Guard. This town is definitely worth a visit; so make sure it's on your list!

Visited 2 weeks ago as a history and architecture buff. This video captured beautifully all the places I wandered from such a scenic perspective. I am an old fashioned type but this makes me thankful for KZbin as a resource to further see and study the world. Thank you!

Marone. I use to live in that great beautiful city back in the early 80's. Wow it has changed. I remember Riley plaza downtown in the center having a huge parking lot and the famous Beef & Oyster house... my how the beautiful city has changed. I'm a native born Bronx New Yorker living in the S.W region now but watching this makes me feel that if i was to return to the Northeast? I would move to Salem. Hello ! I'm flying into Boston going to Salem do you recommend renting a car from Boston ? Or taking the train ? The ferry ? Everyone says traffic is horrible but I'm coming from a city with 4 million people so I'm not sure if my traffic and their version of traffic is different lol thank you so much In advance !

I use to live in this very neat city back in the early 80s. I now live in the Southwest region . As a native Bronx born New Yorker. I can say Salem was pretty cool. I'm gonna have to make a trip back and visit the town there again after this Covid stuff clears up. I remember the old Beef and Oyster restaurant. I wonder if that is still there on Riley Plaza. I use to also hop a ride in the Witch city cabs in town too. Yes I still remember some cool places there in the Witch city. Buona sera .

By definition, the Loyalists (colonists who supported the English crown) in that time period were conservatives. The American Revolutionists were considered radical progressives of their time. Again, by definition, conservatism (Loyalists/Republicans) want things to stay the same (Monarchy then, Oligarchy now), and progressives want progress (For the People then, For the People now).
