being a hardcore fan of the original I must admit the trailer is giving me the same creepy vibes of the old one that i even looked my window during watching the trailer to make sure its locked lol So cant wait ti watch this, Good to hear Mike you are also in it..

Coming from a hard-core fan like yourself, I’m so glad you like the trailer. I’m curious to see how you will feel about the movie afterwards. Especially the vampire scenes! On that same note. Which Salems lot do you think is better. 2004 or 1979?

@@movieboymike I heard its getting released here in London on the 11th at the cinema so I will be going to watch it there and I will give my views here after. 1979 is the best one and to be honest I refuse to see the 2004 version

That is awesome you were in the movie...Salem's Lot is one of my all time movies,, the 79 one scared me greatly when i was 10. I dom't sleep near windows still to this day. This new movie I beleive is has room to to be awesome. It looks to me the the 2024 Loy is a solid vampire movie i am excited to see what they have done with this story. The 79 film is hard to beat with what they did. A lot of us were effected by the 79 Lot and it taps into our fear of the dark and the fear Danny Glick might really be out there... I would like you to hear you do a long clip of 2024 lot and talk about your thoughts and and inside cool stuff about making the film. Walk us through it. I would love to hear your expeerince it wll interesting thing to to hear about. .......thanks for your effort in making this film . I and others care about Salem's Lot and want this to be a very good movie we want to have fun being terrified as we watch ...I would love to hear you do a movie break down of 79 Salem's Lot and how you feel about it as well.

@@movieboymike of the 2 I like the 79 the best.....from what i saw of the new trailer it is gonna be fun thrill ride. I will do a full responce after I see it. so stay tuned ..I think i may watch it a few times maybe 3 times.

So far I like the cast and that they are keeping set in the 70s. My favorite casting choice is that of Bill Camp as Matt Burke, he was in another King series, The Outsider that was pretty good. Can’t wait to see his portrayal of Burke. Hopefully Barlow is creepy

Hi Mike. I’m a big fan of the Stephen King story. Was the drive-in scene the only scene you were in? I act too and am trying to find some extra work. Do you have any websites or tips on how to find actor extra work these days? How many days did you film for? Thank you buddy. 😃

They didn't do the fans right, characters fate's were changed. It is supposed to be only Ben, Mark and (I think) Father Callahan who survive. Not Dr Cody.

The ending is dire I've read it and it will annoy purists who love the book.

@@LanceyKersti Yes i'm ok with changing it if not done for obvious reasons. And of course Mark Petrie has no father in this version either which I don't like.

What exactly is happening in the opening of the movie? I've heard it takes place in the drive-in theater?

Mike where was it filmed ? was it at the same place as Ferndale, CA like the original or in Maine?

Ironically it was recorded in Boston Massachusetts, they recorded a lot of scenes in the woods in a town called Acton just outside of Boston. They had recorded most of the film between the state of Maine & Mass. and for whatever reason they filmed some scene on Nantucket.

Hey man any idea what Barlow looks like?

Yes actually! Funny bring it up, I saw him in the make up chair when I was on the set. Barlow from what I saw had these really interesting purple veins that were going up his neck. He also had these designer type vampire teeth. He was pretty scary looking, at least in the make up chair lol. If they give him a little CGI he’ll probably be terrifying. I guess we’ll have to see.
