Salems Lot 1979 was the movie that got me hooked on horror movies at the tender age of 4 years old. 😊

@@kimberlybarrett8079 That is super young to watch a horror movie, lol. Salem's Lot is one of the best Vampire stories out there, I can see why you got hooked.

@@WadeWadeReacts My mom was enthralled in it when it first premiered. I’ll never forget her yelling at the tv to the guy that the lady vampire was getting up off the table and to get out of there. I couldn’t help but be mesmerized. But since she found Jesus, she doesn’t watch horror anymore. 😁

This trailer gives me the chills, bringing back the exact same feeling that the 1979 mini-series gave me. There's nothing quite like a silhouetted figure sitting in the dark, or peering in a second story window with creepy glowing eyes. And the Gordon Lightfoot music is the "chef's kiss." Can't wait to see this one!

Salems Lots 1979 is the stuff of nightmares, the toughest guy confronted with this scenario would be reduce to a puddle of fear. So what you do not see in this movie trailer, is going to be shit scary.

Yeah but the vampire kids at the window in 1979 were soooooooooooooooooooo scary. These new kids, don't look as scary to me.

@@geoffjoffy I saw the original Salems Lot in the 80s at that time. I didn’t know what to expect. The effect this had on me as a 10 year old in the 80s. Won’t be as scary to me in my 50s. Unless I see something in this movie that’s different. Those sharp teeth, firey eyes, mist and eerie small town in the seventies in New England already sets the scene. As long as the main character Ben Mears isn’t narrating the story as in the 2004 Salems Lot. But when I saw Mike Ryersen behind Matt Burke. The vampire yellow glowing eyes tell me it’s going to be scary. That vampire looked like Ralphy Glick.

yah, I'm getting a vibe not dissimilar to the , for many "Lot heads", the gold standard of vampire movies of the past -the 1979 mini series Salem's Lot with David Soul, James Mason, Bonnie Bedilia, Lance Kerwin, etc..... very hopeful!!!!!!

I think this is going to be one of the better vampire movies that’s come out in a while and it’s the little things for me. I like how the little boy’s eyes cloud over when the vampire hypnotized him and it looks like the guy with the cross revoked his invitation to the vampire which is why he flew out the room like that. The fact it’s set in the 70s is another little nuance that sells it.
