This looks interesting, Probably binge watch 1st season while I wait for Penny Dreadful 2nd season. It's funny, the actress @ 18:24, says there isn't anything really like this on, but I found this and Penny Dreadful to be pretty similar. The supernatural aspect and it's darkness obviously, but also they both share a lot of historical facts of their periods. I mean I think the witch trial as a basis is more accurate than the storyline Penny's 1st season try to follow but nevertheless the individual story-lines are historical in a different way. They derive from fiction but the fiction themselves are apart of our history. Example Frankenstein, Dorian Grey, and Dracula. Not to mention Shane West is in this and Josh Harnett is in Penny Dreadful, two early 00's heartthrobs that seemed as though they disappeared until now and two badass brunettes Lucy Lawless and Eva Green with the devil inside them in a sense lol, although I prefer Evan Green, her acting is ridiculous! Just watch her seance possession scene, the way she moves and contorts is exhausting, the original scene is better than the dubbed, the cursing in the org elevates the tenacity and danger,

I believe that those that even have a drop of witch blood are unaffected. There is also a proximity issue and it doesn't spread from person to person. It hit once and affected people in a certain area (basically as far as the apple-malum, reached). That is at least how I understood it. It defiantly could have been explained better in show.

This show does not accurately show witches. Witches Pagans do not believe in the devil. Most pagans are goddess based and stay away from any sort of dark practice.

Actually, the show has some elements of traditional witchcraft. Cornish witchcraft in particular. They obviously exaggerated many things. Also, some pagans aren't witches and some witches aren't pagans. Food for thought.
